Probability calculations of house cusp sub changes (KP astrology)

Dear Shriram,

I am not a KP supporter, but I can answer your question from a

mathematical perspective.

If birthtime is changed by 2 minutes, there is a good chance that one

of the house cusps changes from one sub to another. Remember that all

the house cusps do not change sub at the same time.

Each individual house cusp remains in a sub for 2.7-8.9 minutes

(average duration in a sub: 5.9 min). The approx probability that a

particular house cusp changes sub in a 2-minute period is only 33%,

but the approx probability that ATLEAST ONE house cusp changes in a 2-

minute period is about 1 - ( 1 - 0.33 )power4 (assuming any three

trinal house cusps to change subs together). This is 80%. If the

assumption is taken away, it increases further.

So, in any 2-minute period, virtually some house cusp or the other

will change sub. Your assertion that only sub-sub changes is wrong.

However, can just one house cusp changing sub make a big different in

life? It depends on the situation.

I hope this answers your question. But I stress again that I am not a

KP supporter. The purpose of this mail is to familiarize astrologers

with probability calculations that I briefly talked about in the

chapter on "Rational Thinking" in my book.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
