Guest guest
Dear Ash, Happy Ganesh Festival !!! The 7 th house and Venus determines one's spouse mainly and these 2 could explain everything about spouse...so this doubt came for me since i got contradictory replies in this particular case.... Guest guest
Dear Hari, Wishing you and everyone on this list a very happy Ganesh Chaturti, 7th house represents many things, Spouse, Partnership, Travel, it is also a Maraka apart from the 2nd house. What Visti mentioned are the Arudhas of the 7th house, and Upapada i.e the Arudha of the 12th house. One also must look at the Argalas i.e Interventions on the 7th house, and also the Navamsa i.e the D9. You must read Guruji Sanjays post on www.sjvc.net regarding Dharma and Marraige and certain parameters will become clear to you. The position of Jupiter and Venus must also be looked into in the Navamsa, as more than often you may see lots of planets in strength in the Rasi chart but weak in Navamsa, and those planets fail to deliver the results, or results that are not as expected. One also must check study the A7 as it represents the manifestation of the 7th house, and Upapada for Marraige. One also must consider the Aspects of Malifics on the 7th house or benefics and one also must consider the Argalas both papa and subh on the 7th house to show interventions. For marraiges one must closely examine the Upapada and for Affairs apart from other things the A7. The Luminiaries also must be seen for their strenght as Sun initiates a Raj Yoga and Moon for susteniance of the Yoga. One also has to see if the planets are combust and what charakaraka (is Jupiter in your chart). If Jupiter is Darakara and placed in 7th house then severe punishment based on the principle of Karaka Nyasa Bhava (meaning that the signification of the house is destroyed) could occur via the significance of the 7th house. If it is AK then tends to punish the native for his past sins and karmas, but it also protects the native too. One also has to see for any parivartan yogas which can alter a prediction. One also must carefully study the Avasthas of the planets too and the Ashtavarga bindus of the 7th house to get a proper picture. If Jupiter is in Pisces (with Virgo Ascendent) then Jupiter is also the Badkesh (in your chart), and can show obstructions. The aspects of the Nodes is also important as it may show love marraiges or some wierdness related to the 7th house if not properly placed. All these are to be confirmed in the Navamsa for their deliverance and timings are another issues all together. Yes 7th house can know about a spouse, but 7th house also signifies a lot of other things. You have said that Venus is Neecha in your lagna in Virgo, Does Venus receive Neech Bhanga. One of the ways to find if a planet receives a Neech Bhanga is to see the placement of its depositer which will be mercury. In the data that you have provided, I cannot make out where Mercury is placed, or where is the position of Venus in Navamsa. If venus is neecha in Rasi but Exalted in Navamsa then its shows a different picture altogether. I hope that this post will make it clear as to why planets and houses cannot be looked into isolation. Cheers !!! Guest guest
Om Ganeshaya Namah! ------------------------ Dear Ash and Hari. I'll make this short and clear. If you wanto describe the spouse(s) look to the 7th house in Navamsa. The next spouse(s) will be seen from the 8th therefrom, in continous order. 7th house in Rasi isn't clear in this regard, and malefic influences on 7th are more prominent as back problems.. This should be confirmed in Kauluka(D-6) and Trimsamsa(D-30). The Darapada will confirm if these influences are more prominent in short term relationships(also 5th in navamsa), or business partners(7th in Dasamsa). The Upapada will confirm if these influences are more prominent in Marital contracts. I hope this is clearer. Best wishes, Visti. --- ashsam73 wrote: > Dear Hari, > > Wishing you and everyone on this list a very happy > Ganesh Chaturti, > > 7th house represents many things, Spouse, > Partnership, Travel, it is > also a Maraka apart from the 2nd house. > What Visti mentioned are the Arudhas of the 7th > house, and Upapada > i.e the Arudha of the 12th house. > One also must look at the Argalas i.e Interventions > on the 7th house, > and also the Navamsa i.e the D9. Guest guest
Dear Hari, Namaste. Plaese give us birth data of the person so that we could see the other influences as well. > what is the general features if one's horoscope > contains Guru in 7th(in Pisces) and Shukra in Asc(in > Virgo)... Jupiter in 7rth in own house usually gives a pious and sattvic husband or relationship. But Here Jupiter is subject to Kendradhipati Dosha, so his ability to give favourable results is checked. Venus in debility in Lagna is generally not good. I think that it would be indicating unfulfilled desires as he is lord of 2nd house. Of ocurse for more exact info we need to see the whole chart incl. Upapada, Navamsha Kundali, Chara Karakas etc. Yours, Gauranga Das Vedic Astrologer <gauranga Phone: +36-309-140-839 Jyotish Remedies: WWW.BRIHASPATI.NET > > Can I get help on these ? > > Regards, > Hari... > > > > > > Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Messenger > http://phonecard./ > > > > > > > > ....... Guest guest
Hi Narasimha and Visti This question is a slight variation. Can we also extend this principle that one should look in to 10th house in D10 for the Job and eight from there for the second job and so on? OR from A10 in d10? Narasimha's earlier posts on narayan dasa and Dusthana's from A10 which indicates problem with work place ( Change of job) and their placement wrt AL does work well in knowing the same. However I am not able to evaluate the Longitivity by looking in to these. Do we have to calculate them using the 3 pairs or any other method is available. At present I can only guess by looking in to the Dasa periods. Thanks and with best regards L Brahma _____________________>Om Ganeshaya Namah! >------------------------ >Dear Ash and Hari. > >I'll make this short and clear. >If you wanto describe the spouse(s) look to the 7th >house in Navamsa. Guest guest
Hi Lakshman. I'm honored by having my name next to Narasimhas, but have long to go till i deserve it. If you wanto make any attempt at calculating the longevity of the job, draw a chart for the time the job was started, in a similar mannor that you calculated the longevity for a child at birth. But i doubt that you can use a method of 3 pairs. The Pravesh chart of the Job will show how long it will last, i believe Su-dasa Pravesh charts would be the easiest. Instead write down all the reasons that could culminate in the end of a job. Then start dividing these reasons into groups, and in the end begin assigning these reasons to the grahas. The Houses and Padas will show the area of activity indicated by the planets. Sooner or later you should have a very good knowledge of the Dasamsa, and can then start making the appropriate predictions. Taking the 8th from the padas/houses isn't something i have experience with. Keep in mind that a person could also work more jobs at once, then what? Best wishes, Visti. --- lakshman jagannath <lbrahma wrote: > Hi Narasimha and Visti > This question is a slight variation. Guest guest
Dear Ramchandani. I've heard this from Astakavarga astrologers, and others, but such an analysis cannot be supported as Jupiter is the greatest benefic. Jupiter in Lagna is the blessing that can remove all evils to the body. You'll have to get a more detailed explanation from these Brahmins. Guest guest
Dear Visti,Ramchandani The ashtavarga astrologers only say that because if jupiter has low points in the Ashtavarga scheme then it is harmful for the house but its aspects of equal strenght are benficial to all the house that it aspects (Graha Dristi). But if Jupiter is in strenght (having more than 4 ashtavarga bindus) then its good for the house but it casts a malific dristi on the house it aspects of equal strength, which is again Graha Dristi. So Since there is a 50% probablity of either cases, hence what those Maharastrian brahims say is only 50% correct. Cheers !!! Guest guest
Dear Mr Sharma Could you please give some examples of this? On a surface enquiry of the charts I know of, this does not seem to be justified. a) One of my wealthier friends has jupiter in the 2nd. His eyesight until his late 40s was perfect now he is getting a bit long sighted. Is a good speaker. He is not close to his immediate family and has no family of his own. That is the only thing I can say. b) Lady with jupiter in 9th. Father lived a good life and died in mid 60s. She is very religious. However, she has had to do everything herself in life, except for help from children n later life. Jupiter rules the 5th and is exalted in the 9th. Would you say that the placement of jupiter removed the support but then the rulership gave it back via the children? c) Jupiter in asc - person in his 70s, exceptionally healthy. d) Bill Gates - Jupiter in the 3rd. 3rd represents computers where he made all his money. It would be very useful if you could expand on this further to this group so we understand what this statement really means. Guest guest
Dear Nimmi, Here are my 2 cents. In Jyotish, it is never a good idea to go by blanket rules. Especially, this Jupiter rule does not seem to stand on any logical basis. If you go by functional nature in the chart, any planet can do harm. But, inherently, Jupiter is a great natural benefic. In your example, you said the gentleman with Jupiter in 2nd is wealthy and has good vision. I too have Jupiter in 2nd and my vision is poor. [Note: It started in Saturn dasa. Remember Sanjay's teaching that 10th house - 9th house of protection from the 2nd house of eyes - is important for vision. Debilitated Saturn aspects my 10th and afflicts 10th lord. Actually, my vision problems started when progressed Sun (using one degree per year Trimsamsa-progression) exactly touched natal Saturn.]. Jupiter is badhakesha in my chart. He can do harm related to the house he occupies. There are many factors and blanket rules are not the way to go. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha > Dear Mr Sharma > > Could you please give some examples of this? Guest guest
Dear Sir, As a student, I have seen that eventhough the jupiter is benific in the chart but the varana of an indivudual is brahmin then it dose not give the required results (or) it give the required results in the form that a brahmin should get. But, if the same Jupiter is to a shatriya varna indiviual than it will give a totally a different results. I am not able to give you the exp. at present but i will find out and give. As in my chart Jupiter is in 2nd house in kumbha and is retrogative. It is not good. but being "Guru" it helps me in teaching. as I am also a Brahmin. Pls. do not take this as castisim, because the varnashram is the way of "Bhagwat Geeta" and is open for all. Pls. correct me if I am wrong. bharat --- pvr wrote: > Dear Nimmi, > > Here are my 2 cents. > > In Jyotish, it is never a good idea to go by blanket > rules. > Especially, this Jupiter rule does not seem to stand > on any logical > basis. Guest guest
Namaste, Of course, results given by planets are modified by desa (place - country), kaala (time - age) and paatra (eligibility/class of the person). One's caste or rather family background does have an impact. But to say that Jupiter destroys the significations of the house he occupies is too strong. I know several Brahmin friends in whose case this rule (that Jupiter destroys the house occupied by him) is not true. For example, a brahmin friend who has lagna lord Mars and 5th lord Jupiter in 10th (Leo) has a a good career as a software engineer and doing quite well since Jupiter dasa began in 1990. I have a lot of counter-examples to this rule. If you or anyone can give specific examples with complete chart data, we can have a useful discussion. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha > Dear Sir, > > As a student, I have seen that eventhough the jupiter > is benific in the chart but the varana of an > indivudual is brahmin then it dose not give the > required results (or) it give the required results in > the form that a brahmin should get. > > But, if the same Jupiter is to a shatriya varna > indiviual than it will give a totally a different > results. Well, frequent travels are possible on the account of the 4th house bieng in dual sign, and hosting Moon. A4 is in 7th ahd has retro Jupiter. Also some changes in residence are indicated. D-4 also has Jupiter in 4th house in Sag. Even though residence may change a few times, he will be most of the time satisfied with it. Plus don't forrget that Jupiter is AK, which usually gives some difficulty in the area he influences. You have justly mentioned a couple of favourable yogas in the chart, but before evaluating their benefits, I would call you to lokk at the other side also. Thjerefore I would mention a few adverse combinations in this chart which somewhat weaken its excellences. Jupiter is AK and is retrograde in the 7th. This may also give some suffering and instability in tha marriage. Venus is debilitated in Lagna, which may indicate that his physical appearance will not be so attractive, especially his hair. Now Venus has a couple of Neechabhanga yogas, but they are not so strong on account of Mercury, the dispositor of Venus being conjoined by a debilitated Sun and a malefic Rahu which form an Aditya-Candala yoga, also giving an ugly face with pimples and a bad relationship with wife, especially quarrels regarding money matters. Retro Mars in 7th from Upapada also caters to domestic conflicts. Saturn in 11th may decrease gains, especially benig conjoined by Hora Lagna. His friends may abandon him when he is poor. Venus being placed in 12th from Navamsa Lagna is weakened not only in Rasi, but in Navqamsa as well, just as Jupiter becoming very weak by being in debility in Navamsa. This significantly surtails the effects of all the yogas that Jupiter participates in (GK, Hamsa, etc.) Atmakaraka being retrogarde and debilitated in Navamsha is actually quite a serious situation. It may cause loss of dharma, and imrpoper attitude towards money matters. Worship of Sri Narasimha and Ganesh is highly recommended for the person. So you have to see this side, and on this basis give balanced predictions. I hope this helps. Guest guest
dear nimmi raghavan, Jupiter is karaka for a number of factors, like children, wealth, preceptor, religious matters, pilgrimages, dips in holy rivers etc.Now according to"karako bhavanashaka" principle, the placement of jupiter in the karaka houses should destroy the indicated things, espicially in his dasa or antardasas. It is observed that it usually happens, but not verbatim.Suppose jupiter is in 5 th in a chart,it may not mean the native will be deprived of children totally. In most of the cases sons will either die as infants, or there will be a plethora of female children, who will thrive well. But to do this type of harm, jupiter should be alone in the house.IF anyother planet is with him this rule will be subject to modification as observed in many cases. One more important thing...only one or two karakatwas will get destroyed, but not all things indicated by that house as well as by jupiter. For this I think we have to see the state of the lord of that particular house, in rasi as well as navamsa and ofcourse,in other relevant divisional charts too.It is not my intention to deny the natural benefic nature of jupiter, but benefic and malefic are relative terms.Benefic in what sense and malefic in what sense?Saturn and Rahu the most natural malefics, appear to have done immense good to many persons in their dasas. There is a quotation in the classical texts" jeevo kurvanti sthana haanischa, mandou sthana vridhihi".I request the members for their valuable opinions and their observations on this rule. sarma __________ Send a newsletter, share photos & files, conduct polls, organize chat events. Guest guest
Dear List and Sathyanarayana, Namaste. Karaka Bhava Nasa is very much applicable for the Chara Karakas, i have examples where its worked perfectly everytime. Jupiter in the 5th can limit the amount of childbirths to 1, if its in Aqua or Cancer. Chara Putra Karaka in 5th can however also ruin the house so significantly that the person doesn't have children or may do so very late, due to their experiences with the same. Same can be said from Chara Darakaraka. Best wishes, Visti. p.s. I've used to the 8 Chara Karaka Scheme. --- "r.sathyanarayana sharma" <rssharmabza wrote: > dear nimmi raghavan, > Jupiter is karaka for a number of factors, like > children, wealth, preceptor, religious > matters, pilgrimages, dips in holy rivers etc.Now > according to"karako bhavanashaka" principle, the > placement of jupiter in the karaka houses should > destroy the indicated things, espicially in his dasa > or > antardasas. It is observed that it usually > happens, but > not verbatim.Suppose jupiter is in 5 th in a > chart,it > may not mean the native will be deprived of children > totally. In most of the cases sons will either die as > infants, or there will be a plethora of female > children, who will thrive well. But to do this type > of > harm, jupiter should be alone in the house.IF > anyother > planet is with him this rule will be subject to > modification as observed in many cases. One more > important thing...only one or two karakatwas will > get > destroyed, but not all things indicated by that > house > as well as by jupiter. For this I think we have to > see > the state of the lord of that particular house, in > rasi as well as navamsa and ofcourse,in other > relevant > divisional charts too.It is not my intention to deny > the natural benefic nature of jupiter, but benefic > and > malefic are relative terms.Benefic in what sense and > malefic in what sense?Saturn and Rahu the most > natural > malefics, appear to have done immense good to many > persons in their dasas. There is a quotation in the > classical texts" jeevo kurvanti sthana > haanischa, mandou sthana vridhihi".I request the > members for their valuable opinions and their > observations on this rule. > sarma > > __________ > > Send a newsletter, share photos & files, conduct > polls, organize chat events. Guest guest
OM GURAVE NAMAH Dear Visti & Satyanarayana, Understand the underlying principle. Dictum: The Atmakaraka placed in the first house or conjoining the lagna lord IN NAVAMSA shows a yoga for birth in Royal or reputed family and Rise to such a position respectively. Now, this shows that the Chara Karaka of a Bhava if placed in the same bhava does not hamper it in the Navamsa. However, we must bear in Mind that the Chara Atmakaraka is the king of the horoscope. So,no other Karaka is allowed to dominate over its position and directions in the life of the native. If say, the Darakaraka is placed in seventh house, then this brings about a situation where the Darakaraka gives yoga to spouse i.e. the spouse may have the benefits of "AK in Lagna" since DK is AK for spouse, or birth in Royal family etc. but in the process it tries to dominate over the directions of the Atmakaraka i.e. the Bhava is strong in itself, but may not be strong or beneficial to the goals of the native. This is what Sant Kabir had said "Bada Hua to Kya Hua Jaise Khajur Ka Peaid; Pathik ko chhaya nahin de phal lage Ati dour' - What is the big deal about a person being as tall and big like the khajur tree (like a coconut tree). It can neither give shelter to the passerby and its fruits are very difficult to get'. In fact such a chara karaka tends to make life difficult as it brings about strong spiritual directions from such a bhava. If associated with fifth house i.e. Putra Karaka is in 5th, then the tendency is to deny children as this is the great bond for continuing in this worldly life instead of renouncing /spiritual upliftment. Children remove the focus from the self - be it self development in the positive spiritual sense or self conceitment in the material sense. Thus the Chara Karaka in the fifth can indicate both. If the yogas for spirituality are weak, then this can be very adverse. In this manner, the chara karaka should be understood. Not necessarily, but if you go through my comments in detail, you will see that the results will be significantly modified even by the planets' more thorough examination in the Rasi. Navamsa chart is very determinant in judgung the fructification of yogas. If any planets are harmed esp. debilitated here, then their abiolity to give yogas is strongly curtailed by past life karma. Now for judging the fructification of yougas, you shghould also check the other appropriate divisional charts. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah - Dear Nemo, You are running Jupiter-Venus Dasa. The problem is due to professional life, as Jupiter becomes Badhakesh for Arudha Lagna, and is joined with Venus(Love affair) in the 5th house. The Antar Dasa of Venus will not be enimical towards you, as its lord of Lagna, but will give you some obstruction. Saturn is in 8th from Moon & Lagna, causing Kanataka Sani, which is why you are distressed by this. Saturn is also in 12th from Arudha Lagna, showing the lack of support in your professional life. So what todo? Sun is Amatya Karaka and the 6th from Sun in Navmasa is Cancer, occupied by Mercury, indicating Krishna. Mercury is also Darakaraka, and placed in 6th with Badhakesh in Rasi, showing that you will begin worshipping Palana Devata, due to some troubles(badhakesh) with relationships(Darakaraka)! Remedial Messure: A Krishna-Navakshari Mantra, should be recited, i've chosen the following: "Om Sleem Kleem SriKrishnaya Namah". 108 times a day, as Japa every morning, until the problem goes away. So.. 1. Appraise your Istha Devata Lord Rama. 2. Recite Japa(see above) for Palana Devata; Lord Krishna, begining on a wednesday. Hope this helps. Keep us informed.
