Guest guest
Hello, I have been a silent reader of this list and have learnt a great new concepts here. I read Mr. Iyer's post today. He makes a few interesting points. If one knows about many dasa systems, and various lagnas and arudhas etc it is very easy to fit any event to any chart. Add to this divisional charts and arudhs and lagnas in that and very soon we have tools enough to fit any event to any chart. I am not suggesting anyone on this list is doing that. However one has to realize that with only 12 houses in a chart if one knows a few dasa systems and uses arudhas it won't surprise me that the dasa rashi will be a good house from some lagna or some arudha if one knows the event is a good one, On the other hand if the event is known to be a bad one I am sure the one of the rasi dasa will be 6, 8 ,12th from some arudha or some special lagna somewhere. For me it is nice to know these, however applicability of these techniques needs lot of research until they can be applied succesfully to PREDICT things. Thats why I still rely only on Vimshottari dasha and may be just navansh to see the strength of planets. Learned jyotishis tell me that it works very well on 70% of cases. Thats a high percentage if you ask me. I consider that a quality of a good astrologer is to predict based on a few parameters. If one gets into calculating these thousands of parameters one will soon get so confused that they won't be able to predict anything and can absolutely fit any event into one of the techniques they know. These are my humble opinions and in no way I am trying to criticize anyone or any method. ....Satish Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Messenger http://phonecard./
Guest guest
Dear Satish. I would highly agree that no astrologers here do that, but knowing of many dasa systems, and knowing how to use them are two seperate issues which really creates an astrologer. The use of only Vimshottari Dasa, is like limiting ourselves to view the person from a certain perspective. But if one masters it, then one may not need the rest. But yet Vimshottari is limiting. If you understand Arudha's you indeed see a big difference in the bhava and its arudha. Its understanding and applying all these rules that makes an astrologer acurate, if i were you i wouldn't preach otherwise, and seemingly you don't. All these techniques fall into place, and give a perfect system of prediction, know that. It just takes abit more literate work than the village seer might do. Best wishes, Visti. - satish ketkar vedic astrology Sunday, July 22, 2001 11:33 PM [vedic astrology] Post Fact Analysis Hello,I have been a silent reader of this list and havelearnt a great new concepts here.
