Guest guest
I found the attached today which was originally posted by Narasimha. This note, although only one example, provides some supporting evidence to the "similar chart" discussion we had a few days ago. I said that rasi chart is sufficient to determine the short/middle/long life classification, though Rudramsa (D-11) etc are needed for the exact timing of death. When you said they have the same rasi chart, I told you to check if horalagna is different. I cast the chart now and horalagna indeed is different (Cn for Chaplin and Ta for Hitler). I am doing the longevity classification analysis here, based on Parasara's (and Jaimini's) principle of 3 pairs. For details of the method, read one of Sanjay's books or BPHS. (1) Lagna lord and 8th lord are in a movable sign. This gives long life (movable+movable=movable). (2) Moon is in a dual sign and Saturn is in a movable sign. This gives short life (movable+dual=fixed). (3) Lagna and horalagna have to be seen. Lagna is in a movable sign. Horalagna is in Cancer (movable) for Chaplin and Taurus (fixed) for Hitler. Lagna and horalagna together give long life (movable+movable=movable) in Chaplin's case and middle life (movable+fixed=dual) in Hitler's case. In Chaplin's case, we have 2 long life entries and 1 short life entry. By Jaimini's "samvaadaat praamaanyam (2.1.7)" principle, we establish LONG life. In Hitler's case, we have one long life, one middle life and one short life entry. Jaimini says "visamvaade pitru kaalataha (2.1.8)". This means that lagna and horalagna pair dominates if the all three factors give three different answers. So we get MIDDLE life.
