ADMIN: A Word About Software Offers Here

Namaste friends,

 

You are always welcome to share with the members of this list any

useful software or documents related to Vedic astrology. However, a

few requests/suggestions:

 

(1) If you are announcing software written by someone else, please

make sure that you are licensed to freely distribute it. If you break

someone's copyrights and distribute their software without their

permission, you can get in trouble for it. Kindly don't use this list

for such activities.

 

(2) Anyone announcing any software or downloading any software is

doing so on his/her own. This list or list administration has nothing

to do with, and not responsible for, the actions of individuals. In

fact, if I receive any complaints from the makers of any software

that someone is abusing this list to freely distribute their software

without their permission, I will consider expelling such a person

from this list.

 

(3) When you download any software announced here, it is your

responsibility to check for viruses, copyright issues etc. The list

administration is not.

 

(4) This list has nearly 500 members now. Each post goes to 500

people. Whenever appropriate, please use personal mail and don't

bother 500 people with mails not related to astrology. For example,

if you have a problem with some software, contact the person who gave

it to you or its author. Try not to send a mail to the list. If a

problem or solution has been identified, someone can send a mail to

the list at the end to keep others informed.

 

Always keep in mind that any mail you send to the list goes to 500

people and ask yourself - Do I need to bother 500 people with this?

 

As long as we are all responsible, we will continue to keep this list

a wonderful place to hang out and learn!
