Guest guest
Namaste Narasimha, Permit me to complement you on your book. It is an excellent work and will be a guiding light for the astrological community at large. The concept of argala is new to me. I had heard the term earlier without having any idea about the concept. Having studied the chapter in your book I would think that I have understood it. May I request you to please clarify the following from your book: 10.5 Argala (page 89) A planet or house in the 2nd, 4th and 11th houses from a planet or house causes primary argala on the latter. 10.6 Virodhargala (page 90) Planets and houses in the 12th, 10th, 3rd and 9th houses from a house cause virodhargala and obstruct the argala on it from the 2nd, 4th, 11th and 5th houses from it. On going through the examples and exercises it would appear that argala/virodhargala is caused only if a planet is posited in a house, whereas the extracts above seem to indicate otherwise. Thank you. Best regards Anil
Guest guest
Dear Anil, Thank you for catching this. I will try to rectify this in a future edition. Yes, as you inferred correctly, argala and virodhargala is caused only by planets. In fact, if both are present, a judgment is made based on the number of planets involved and the strengths.
