Hi Sally,

Do you think that would be applicable to my chart? Venus, lord of the 4th,

aspects from the 11th in it's own house. It has good shadbala strength.

Jupiter aspects on the 4th and 8th houses, Ketu aspects on the lords of the

8H and Mercury is in its own house. Ketu is in trines with Venus.

Your sishya,

Dhira Krsna dasa

Dear Sally.

Why Venus?

Actually please give reasoning for the rest of your indications.

Best wishes, Visti.

Visti,

Allow me a possible explanation...

Technically, Venus is the planet of pleasures, music, art and luxuries, but

a well placed Venus is very sensitive, empathetic and sympathetic. From the

description of this chart it sounds like Venus also aspects the fifth house

of intelligence and past life gifts (purva poona), so this Venus gives

"gifts". I would also stress though that Jupiter's aspect on the eighth also

contributes to this ability.

By the way, I too like Santhanam's BPHS translation best.

Namaste Visti,

I will try and answer this. Venus as well as Jupiter are Brahmins, he

is Sukracharya, the guru of the demons. Venus is the cause of

rebirth, and teaches the individual about the truths of material

existence, while Jupiter teaches about the Atman. Venus gives

knowledge about everything material, be they sciences, or other

Vidyas.

This is seen by the natural ownership of Venus being the 7th house of

desire, and the 2nd artha trikona, showing Venus' desire for

materialism. Meanwhile Jupiter owns the furthest dharma sign, and the

most developed moksha sign, showing departure from the physical

realm.

When associated with Ketu, and Saturn, or afflicted by malefics in

general, Venus gives spiritual knowledge, but in the form that has to

do with the material existence.

There are only a few references I have seen in this regard, the most

notable being from Parasar and Jaimini.

BPHS 33 25 Venus giving a aspect to Ketu in Karakamsh denotes one

initiated into religions order.

JS 1 33. When Ketu in the second from karakamsa lagna is aspected by

Venus, the native is devoted to religious and spiritual activities.

He is initiated into the spiritual mysteries.

Saturn associated to this combination gives Tapaswi Yoga.

Bhrigu Nandi Nadi also states that the conjunction of Venus and Ketu

gives siddhi.

Sarvath Chintamini 40 6. Venus is significator for: Knowledge of

magic... yogic powers...

Venus/Sukracharya uncovered the Mrityunjaya mantra, which is the most

powerful for preventing people's deaths, and can even bring back the

dead. In effect, Venus' power is so strong as to bring a soul back

into the material body, after it has left this plane of existence.

Contrast this to the action of a mantra like the Gayatri that removes

the soul from material bondage, which is more Jupiter oriented.

The abilities given through Venus are different than Jupiter's but

have great power on the material world, and have more to do with

Siddhis than Moksha. Many people develop psychic abilities through

Venus giving control over material nature, some to a very great

extent, where they claim to be able to change their form, or fly

around, etc. But unfortunately these distract from the aim of moksha,

and encourage enjoyment of the physical world.

An interesting chart to see in this regard is Krishna's who had

mastery of all of the yogic siddhis. He had Venus conjunct Rahu, Mars

in the 3rd house and aspected by Saturn. I have seen the charts of

some Tantrics with Tapaswi yoga, and one in particular with Venus-

Rahu combination in the 3rd aspected by Saturn, just like Krishna. He

has strong yogic attainments and psychic faculties.

Warm regards,

Vyam Vysadevaya Namah

Ok!

Thx Gary and Alex.

My problem with assimilating this, was due to the "strong Venus" statement. I'm

very attentive these days as a simple flue is bugging me.

A few comments on Alex' email;

Venus is not the cause of rebirth. Venus doesn't show our desires but our sexual

passions. How we seek these passions is seen from the 7th from Venus.

The 7th from Moon and Lagna shows desires, and is partly the cause of rebirth.

Rahu is the cause of rebirth, due to Karma.

Venus in a Dusthana and associated with malefics is a strong indicator of

tantrism, see Sanjay Rath's D-60, and as you referred before; Krishna's Rasi.

Venus and Ketu associated with Navamsa Lagna is a yoga for an ascetic. Same goes

for Karakamsa, however there is an obvious difference between the two.

When judging Venus and Ketu's effect in Swamsa; Jaimini states: 1.2.36.

Saturn aspecting (the venus and ketu combination) produces a tapaswi, or a

servant. Either way the person becomes very devoted to their lord.

Your differentiation of Venus and Jupiter is Marvelous.

Nevertheless the propper place to analyze these things, for Dhira Krsna, should

be the trines to Navamsa lagna, as he's searching for abilities he hasn't yet

found. It would make sense to time siddhi's from Drig Dasa's associated with

the 10th house and Venus, along with Narayana Dasa's of Vimsamsa. Nakshetramsa

would show the actual abilities much clearer.

Dhira's chart:

Date of Birth: May 23, 1968Time of Birth: 10:16:00 amTime Zone

of Birth: 0:00 West of GMTLongitude of Birth: 3 E 36Latitude of Birth:

40 N 45

The Navamsa lagna is; 26:09. which is close to the border of 26:40.

Hence the choice is between two Navamsa lagnas; Aqua and Pisces.

- Aqua -

Aqua is aspected by Mercury and Ketu. This is a combination for one skilled in

trades(mercury) and a seller of elephants(ketu). I've seen this combination

produce someone who cheats in business, as ketu can also shows a thief or

cheater.

hence his morals should be observed;

Mercury in 9th doesn't necessarily make him truthful as mercury is neither a

benefic nor malefic. Jupiters aspect on Mercury gives him free but good morals.

So a skilled seller of large, prestigous vehicles.

The 5th from Aqua has Mars, making him a apt at mettalurgy.

Do/did you own/work at a car factory Dhira?

Jupiter in 4th produces a house made of Wood.

- Pisces -

Pisces is also the karakamsa, and both Maharishi Parasara and Maharishi Jaimini

stated that this was a combination for final emancipation. The 12th from

Karakamsa aspected by Ketu is an even stronger indicator, where Mercury+Ketu

indicates that Maha Vishnu is the Ishta Devata.

Navamsa Lagna here produces one born into a royal family, through ones parents(sun & moon here).

Singing, dancing and playing music will be a big part of life as Sun and Moon

are both here. You may have a very nice voice, and good at playing music.

Saturn makes one apt at any profession, however can make one nervous in a

crowd. Sun helps in this regard.

Jupiter in 3rd gives ability to read ancient texts.

Mars in 4th gives knowledge of fighting and living in a brick house. As the

combination in lagna aspects Mars the house could be very large.

Sun and Ketu in trines to Navamsa lagna and Karakamsa shows some inborn "white

magic" abilities, that would produce prominence in Mantra and understanding the

same, very well.

- Conclussion -

Both Navamsa lagnas can be changed without affecting the fact that your

Vimsamsa(D-20) lagna shoud be Virgo.

If Nav lagna is Pisces you no doubt allready have some psychic abilities, that

saturn may keep you from being completely aware of, and may show up from time

to time.

Aqua lagna doesn't seem very indicative of a spiritual person.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes, Visti.

Hare Rama Krsna.

Dear Alex,

Thank you very much for your elaborate explanation. Indeed, I'm a devotee of

Krsna and doing meditation on the Hare Krsna maha-mantra for at least 2

hours a day. The first 2 mantras you gave I knew already, being a brahmin

engaged in deity worship, and I am already chanting these ones. I only

didn't know these can be used for developing divine seeing power. Of course,

the mantras themselves declare it.

My intention was never to engage myself in channeling spirits of the dead, I

got interested in the subject by hearing from a couple of channelers who are

in contact with extra-terrestrial beings like Ashtar and Sananda/Jesus

Christ. I got the date of Jesus' birth through them. So my intention is to

develop my divine eyes to come in contact with them and other divine angelic

beings. They are familiar with the works of Edgar Cayce.

If you want to find out more, please check my webpage:

http://www.geocities.com/dvdd1008/Jyotisha.html

As for your analysis of my chart, I appreciate it very much. I only get some

other dashas because of using Raman's ayanamsa, but your comments seem to be

very correct.

As promised, I will give here the charts of the 2 channelers I'm in contact

with. They are both ladies and remarkable is that Ketu is in 8th house for

both.

Namaste,

Thanks for your kind words and for the charts, they are invaluable, I

would appreciate it if anyone else could provide more of these. The

first thing that is noticeable about the two charts is the 12th house

from Karakamsa. In both charts, there is a malefic Mars and Saturn

conjunction.

According to both Parasar and Jaimini this gives worship of malign

spirits, which is not recommended by either. I would question whether

they would actually be channelling Jesus Christ, as benefics such as

Jupiter and Moon should be the planets here to indicate the

compassionate avatar of Jesus.

Jaimini Sutram 1 80. "If the twelfth from the Karakamsa is owned by a

malefic and if Saturn is there, one is devoted to evil spirits." You

can see from the stanza, that this applies to both charts fully.

JS 1 81. "If Venus is in such a malefic-owned twelfth house, one is

devoted to evil spirits." In the second chart the 12th from Karakamsa

is a sign of Venus with 3 evil planets, including a debilitated Ketu.

This house is the house of moksha and the afterlife, and with dire

malefics here, the indication is clear. You can also see in both

charts that this malefic combination recurs from the ascendant in the

rasi chart - in both charts! Mars and Saturn again conjoin or aspect

the 12th house or lord.

Compound this with the full aspect of these planets in both charts on

the 12th from Navamsa lagna and you will find yourself with a

situation where all indications about moksha and a peaceful afterlife

have been destroyed completely. How would this be possible if they

were actually in contact with Jesus, who is very close to the

godhead?

I would recommend keeping away from association with these people,

for the reasons I mentioned when I first analyzed your chart. The

negative vibrations from them will cling to you due to the principle

of Satsang, and in this way there will be danger to you through

spirits.

Other features about their charts. The 5th house of mantra/spiritual

technique in the first chart is owned by dead soul indicator Saturn

placed in the 8th occult sign of Scorpio, the dispositor of which

goes into the 12th house and 8th house occult houses, showing the

worship of evil spirits.

The second chart has a debilitated 5th lord under the aspect of every

malefic planet and Venus (JS 1 81), also pointing to the worship of

evil spirits.

These people may believe they are contacting Jesus and others through

their efforts, but the only way to really do so is to follow in the

footsteps of saints like Ramakrishna, and perform the necessary

discipline, meditation and mantras, and you will eventually gain

these abilities.

Regarding development of your abilities through mantras, you should

read over your texts carefully, and try to understand the implication

of each one. It can be very revealing. There are books on Ganehsa

puja that you should also read, as you can have success in attracting

this type of energy. There are mantras of his that also give various

siddhis.

Best Wishes,

Alex J

Dear Gomes, Namaste.

Yes there is slight a misinterpretation here.

I've adressed this point in an email that seems to be delayed.

Please wait for it before conversing further on this.

Venus helps create a tantric, but isn't related to any addictions.

Rahu is the cause of addiction and the reason we are reborn.. Wait

for my email.

Best wishes, Visti.

Namaste Alex,

If Venus is responsible for addiction to materialism, then why should an

aspect of Venus onto Ketu cause initiation into spiritual orders?

This is the primary problem I have had with most of the more literal

interpretations of Parasara. Also, I have never seen a quotation in BPHS or

Jaimini Sutram (unless it is Sanjay's) in which Venus in the twelfth causes

worhip of evil spirits. This is nonsense. Saturn and Mars, yes as they are

natural malefics; but Venus is a natural benefic and favored by Shiva.

Respectfully, this is not good astrology, because it is based on a very

biased interpretation of these texts.

Sorry for any disharmony I may cause.

Namaste,

Gary Gomes

Namaste Gary,

Do not worry about causing disharmony, there has been none caused at

all.

Regarding the interpretation of the texts, Santhanam's translation as

well as GC Sharma's of BPHS both site Venus being placed in the 12th

from Karakamsa in a malefic sign as causing worship of evil spirits.

As well, Jaimini Sutram translated by Sastri and Rath have a similar

reading. I do not think that they are all wrong in the interpretation.

Jaimini Sutram 1 81 "Sukre Cha" This means "also Sukra." This is in

reference to the verse before which says that worship of evil spirits

is caused by Saturn in a malefic owned house. So "Sukre Cha" can be

interpreted as "Venus in a malefic owned 12th from Karakamsa also

causes worship of evil spirits" The original sloka from BPHS also

directly mentions Sukra. It is a literal translation to day Venus,

but is in the spirit of the past 10 statements regarding the planets

in the 12th from Karakamsa. In each of these each planet is mentioned

and the effect.

The important thing to note, is that Venus is placed here under

affliction, not dignified. That is made clear in both BPHS and JS.

Venus placed beneficially gives worship of Lakshmi.

Warm regards
