Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Namaste Narasimah, Indeed a very good lesson for all of us. Your previous post on A5 and this post makes aruda clear. As you said, this maya or illusion or perceptions are not easy to teach and one has to think on these issues repeatedly. Thanks for giving us the lead to think. Do you or any body have the chart of Mr.Narayana moorthy of Infosis? Because, his chart may show this wealth and arudha well. His wealth is based on the share prices and the world assumes that he is a very rich man - A2. He is a simple man, doesn't carried away by this wealth, he has the capacity to sustain these wealth - 2nd from Lagna. Physically- His wealth can be less than what the world assumes - 2nd from AL. Any other real example might help us in this way. Though it seems straight-forward on a casual look, a lot of tricky questions will come to an intelligent person's mind as (s)he assimilates the knowledge! Teachings of a guru can sow the seeds, but the plant of true knowledge blossoms in one's heart only after the intellect works very hard on assimilation. Most of us neglect, to our detriment, arudhas in practical analysis. This sometimes includes me. Parasara and Jaimini gave them a lot of importance. A lot of astrologers in my native state in India (Andhra Pradesh) do not make any predictions until arudha chakra is prepared.I will attempt to answer your intelligent question to the best of my ability.> My doubt is, How does objectivity fit into this? Is it> not true that people look at the trappings of money> (A2) to form their perceptions of some body's richness> (2nd house from AL). Yes, ideally, world's impressions about one's sustenance resources should be based on one's wealth, just as the world's impressions about one's intelligence and abilities should be based on one's awards, trophies and achievements. However, in reality, they may or may not be linked. The world may perceive the winner of a prestigeous award (strong A5) as an undeserving person (5th from AL weak). Similarly, the world may perceive a person with a lot of wealth (strong A2) as one with poor sustenance/endowment (2nd from AL). After all, one may have million dollars in the bank (strong A2), but use a simple vehicle, wear simple dress and have an unassuming conduct. Then most people will have an ordinary impression about how well-endowed he is. Houses from AL show people's impressions and arudhas of the same houses show real things that exist materially and that should, ideally, govern people's impressions. There is another important subtle distinction to be made here. Let us step back a little bit. What does the 2nd house from lagna show? How does it fit with my earlier teaching that houses from lagna qualify true self and houses from AL qualify one's image, status and material existence (i.e. existence in the perceptions of the world)? Material existence is shown by AL and the true individual/personality inside is shown by lagna. Can money be an attribute/quality of that true individual wrapped inside the material existence? No!! Money is a part of world's maya (illusion). It's a part of the material existence. The problem is that literature lists all the results related to 2nd house (2nd from lagna, 2nd from paka lagna, 2nd from arudha lagna, arudha of 2nd etc) as the results of the 2nd house. We have to differentiate and use them appropriately.Though the 2nd house is supposed to show money, it actually shows one's sustenance when we translate things to a basic level. It shows one's sustenance and nourishment. It shows how endowed one is. One's food, money etc are the material manifestations of this nourishment/endowment. So the arudha of 2nd shows them (i.e. money and food are things that exist in the material world when it comes to one's nourishment). The 2nd from lagna shows the nourishment and sustenance of one's true self. The 2nd from arudha lagna shows world's impressions about the same.> Or is it that we need to look at the links between A2> and the 2nd house from AL to comment on the> perceptions of outside world (of the native's> richness)being Subjective or Objective. > > I am not quiet clear on this. Guest guest
AUM SRI GURUVE NAMAH Dear Narasimha and Solai! After a long gap I am again joining the list. The concept of Arudha has intrigued me a lot. I shall ask one simple question to clarify some of my doubts. What would be the result if the A2 is well placed and 2nd from AL is bedly placed. You say that even if the person is endowed with wealth, he is perceived as one having less wealth. This happens when the person has deposited his wealth in some place and the general public don't know about it. But how does the public form their opinion. They do it by seeing whatever possession one has, the movable or immovable property. The immovable property and vehicles is again under the perview of 4th house. What would happen if the A4 is strong and the 4th from AL is also strong. This would show that the person has a lot of immovable property or a good vehicle and public has the opinion that he is endowed with such property (strong 4th from AL). In this what can we judge.... On the one hand the world views him not endowed with wealth and on the other hand they have opinion that he has alot of property and a good vehicle (Hence rich).... I am bit confused. Have I made the matter too complecated !!!!! Guest guest
Namaste Sarajit, I hope you do not mind me saying something as follows: Let us forget Arudhas for a moment! When we look at the 2nd house from Lagna and the 4th house from lagna also we may get contradictory signals. So what i propose to say is that the analysis and synthesis will follow after identifying them (discriminating them)as two separate issues. The same way the 2nd house and the 4th house matters are analysed and synthesised, A2/A4, 2nd/4th house from AL can be treated. That is as far as I could think at present. Hope this helps.
