Guest guest
Namaste Narasimha and Narayana, Please let me put my understanding here which is open for rectify. I am not comfortable with yours new rule,, unless if you learned it from Sanjay directly. Since you have quoted the mail from Sanjay end of this mail I think we are speaking about this particular mail. Jupiter aspect nodes does not make fall them and does not Saturn or Mars become stronger. But, Jupiter's aspects on 'exalted nodes' nullify the exaltation of nodes and we are not have to add one year for dasa years. In any case when we check strength of exalted nodes with Mars or Saturn, If Jupiter aspect nodes, ignore the exaltation of nodes for every matter. For example Sanjay's chart (ref. below) compare Ketu and Mars. 1. No conjoined with any planets either Ketu or mars.- 2. Aspect of Jupiter on both Ketu and Mars- 3. Exalted planets. Now aspect of Jupiter nullify exaltation of Ketu and same time aspects of Jupiter on Mars, given the strength to Mars. That is all. If you think I am wrong please be kind enough to correct me or otherwise please rectify this for other's benefit. thanks Karu Namaste friends,Do you remember the rule about the aspect/conjunction of Mercury, Jupiter and dispositor? When judging the strengths of Mar & Ketu or Saturn & Rahu, we first look at the number of planets conjoining. If Mars is with 2 other planets and Ketu with 3 planets, Ketu will become the dominant lord of Sc. If both the co-lords are joined by the same number of planets, the second rule deals with aspects/conjunction of Mercury, Jupiter and dispositor. We count how many aspect and the planet with a higher count wins. There is a small exception in this. There are several more exceptions and special cases in Narayana dasa computation that were not covered on this list before and in my book either. I don't know if Sanjay covered them in his upcoming book. Actually, when Sanjay taught this on varahamihira list, I don't know if he wanted it to be within SJVC students. In any case, now that this exception has been revealed to everyone, I will try to add a word. The idea behind looking at aspects/conjunctions of Jupiter, Mercury and dispositor is that they make a planet strong. However, you should remember that Rahu and Ketu are asuras (demons). Jupiter is the Guru of gods. He prevents Rahu and Ketu from becoming strong. He likes Saturn and Mars to be stronger. So his aspect on nodes actually makes them weak and not strong!Mercury, OTOH, gets along fine with all. He has no preferences. He strengthens whoever he associates with.Let us take Sanjay's chart (August 7, 1963, 21:14:50 (IST), 83 E 58' 00", 21 N 27' 00"). Ketu is in Sg and Mars is in Vi, both alone. Mars is aspected by Jupiter. This gives him a score of 1 out of 3 (Mercury and dispositor - Mercury again - do not aspect him). Ketu is aspected by Jupiter and dispositor - Jupiter again. However, Jupiter's aspect does not give a score of 1, but gives a score of -1 (minus one). Overall, Mars has a higher score and wins. So Mars is the lord of Sc.Now some food for thought - Jaimini only said "gurugna drig yogaha". Guru means Jupiter, but it also means "Teacher". Can it be the Teacher of Demons? If Jupiter's aspect weakens Rahu, can Venusian aspect strengthen him? We talked about the aspect of dispositor strengthening a planet. Is it always true? Can dispositor weaken a planet sometimes? All the strength rules and rasi dasa computation rules have roots in mythology and philosophy. There is a reason behind everything. A lot of special cases and exceptions have been kept secret till today (I also know only some). Still, what Sanjay revealed to the world is A LOT. We should be grateful for that. He has a reason for keeping some key knowledge to himself and worthy students. While I am for free sharing of knowledge, I realize that astrology is something that should be hidden from unworthy people. If what he shared with all appeals to you and you want to learn it finer and if you are destined to do so, then you will oneday become his student and learn the secrets in time...For now, don't worry. Use the rules as they are taught in his/my books and you will do fine in most cases.May Jupiter's light shine on us,Narasimha> Namaste Members,> > Here's the reason for Ju Exception in Sanjay's own words:> > "When we talk of exaltation of the nodes, we should try to understand as> to what is happening.
