I joined as a member of this group about two months back and I am very much

impressed by the depth of the discussions. Though I have been studying the

subject from 1972 onwards, due to lack of concerted effort I did not develop the

knowledge expected at this stage. I have all along been only an amateur and my

readings are limited to a very small circle of friends which has also restricted

my exposure and the knowledge.

I need two clarifications to seek from the learned souls in this discussion

group:

First Clarification:

1. What is the basis for determining the sex of the second child. Does it make a

difference if his wife had the second conception aborted and the current case if

of third conception but the child will be the second issue.

2. His first child (female) was born on 17-Feb-1987. His wife had a voluntary

abortion of the second conception some time in 1994-95 and now

3. The person was born on 5-April-1957 at Kanchivaram at 07:15 hrs. Lagna is

Mesha with Mercury and Ketu in it. Second house has Moon and Mars. Sixth House

has retrograde Jupitar. Seventh house has Rahu. Eight house has retrograde

Saturn. Twelfth house has Sun and Venus.

4. His Saptamsa lagna is Midhuna, with the lord in Vrishabha (in D-7), aspected

by Mars and Saturn (in D-7). This may account for the first child being a

female.

Second Clarification:

5. His wife asked me the question (for determining the sex of the second child)

at 21:47 hrs on 07-June-2001 in chat mode. Her horoscope is not available.

6. At the time of the question the person who asked the question was at Madras

and I was at Bombay.

7. Do I have to prepare the chart for the question based on the lagna at Madras

or at Bombay. With about 36 minutes of difference in the local times, this will

make a major difference in the calculation.

Could any body help.
