Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Namaste Narasimha, Your book is excellent. It flows like a river. It is a juice. Yes, except the examples and exercises, there is nothing new in the book. But, it is like a compendium. All the informations are available elsewhere in some texts. But, its all compressed in a precise, simple, understandable, without ambiguity manner in the book. It is like a ready reckoner. The book can be referred for any doubts on basic information. In fact all the beginners must keep this book aside, while reading other astrological books. Even non astrological people can slowly read and understand the 1st Section without any problem. In fact 1st section is like an elaborate article on Vedic Astrology. You are my Guru. But, taking age as a factor, I request the great lord to bless you to write more books like this. I can understand that being the first book, you played it safely and cautiously. I have to read more and come back to you later. Thanks Solai Kannan

Guest guest
Dear Mr. Rao, I'm reading your book. I'm on chapter 12. Can you please elaborate on what is Sodhya Pindas =(Graha P + Rasi Pinda) used for? What is the maximum number you can get? What number is considered below average? I'm assuming the higher, the number the better. I'm looking at the printout of my chart generated by your software. What are the significance of Ishta Bala and Kashta Bala? Again, thank you in advance. It is a quotient or an index that has some use in predictive astrology. Just as you can look at your social security number to figure out when you get your tax-cut check from IRS, you look at sodhya pindas to figure out when a planet gives a result. It's not a strength. If you ignore it for now and keep reading the book, you will find how to use it in chapter 25 (section 25.6 - Timing with Sodhya Pindas). I only gave 4 pages on it and covered the general case as taught by Parasara and briefly mentioned some sub-cases. Some additional material on specific sub-cases can be found in "Astakavarga System of Prediction" by Dr. B.V. Raman. > I'm looking at the printout of my chart generated by > your software. What are the significance of Ishta > Bala and Kashta Bala? Again, thank you in advance. A planet with higher ishta phala ("likable result") is supposed to give more favorable results and a planet with higher kashta phala ("troublesome result") is supposed to give more unfavorable results. I haven't found this to work with any acceptable level of consistency and am afraid there are some missing links. That's why I did not cover this in my book. > Aileena May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
