Guest guest
Namaste Visti and friends, I am sure that the new Excel files uploaded by you are of great use. Thank you. However on accessing them, they tend to open with the Adobe Acrobat reader and a lot of gibbrish appears. Perhaps being new I am unaware of the correct method. May I request you/any list member to please guide me in this process. Regards Anil
Guest guest
Dear Anil. There are two ways to go about this problem. 1. Instead of left clicking the link to the Excel sheet, right click and chose; "Save as", or "Save destination, ... etc". This will give you the option to save the file onto your computer. >From there just open Microsoft Excel, and open the file. I recommend method 1 during the Mercury Retrogade, unless your Mercury is Combust. 2. a) Double click on the "My Computer" Icon. b) click; view => folder settings(if you have Win98), or Filetype(win95). c) chose to look at the filetypes* you will be observing the filtypes if you have win95. d) scroll through the programs and see which one uses the XLS extension. You said adobe does. So find the Adobe application that uses the XLS extension, and change/delete it. Best wishes, Visti. ----- OriginalMessage ----- Anil vedic astrology Wednesday, June 06, 2001 3:26 PM Re: [vedic astrology] New files uploaded to vedic-astro Namaste Visti and friends, I am sure that the new Excel files uploaded by you are of great use.
