Guest guest
Dear all, This post of mine is regarding the nadi jyotish.I had been reading through the archives and came across some posts that said that nadi jyotish was accurate and others asking list members about their experiences. Here is what i have experienced so far. I had been to one such place with my mother and my late father. The reason why we went there was because my sister had met with an "akala mrithu" at the age of 16. They took thumb impressions of my mother, late father and me and searched the nadis and read many "kandams". In almost all the kandams which they read they told things that were totally not relevant and in the end asked us if my sister had passed away after much vexation from our side (when we heard the details that were supposed to happen in our lives). We consulted two nadis infact to see if our sister's fate was to really pass away at such an age, none seemed to give a proper reason. She was having her menopause cycle at the time of her death and some one suggested that mrythu could have been at that place and could have resulted in the dur manran due as she was weak. I am not keen on mentioning the name of the person whom we had gone to, but I just wanted to warn list members about the pitfalls (atleast what i had experienced). May be ours was a speacil case or an anamoly that took place like this person had suggested. But are such things possible? With much respect, Karthik
Guest guest
Dear members, Recently I and my wife consulted a Nadi jyotishi at Hyderabad. He took our thumb prints and came with a sheaf of palm leaves written in Tamil. Although he predicted most events in our lives correctly, he was reluctant to tell any future events, specially in regard to our health. He said that the present time is chaotic and that we have hardly about two years left on this planet, also we should come to consult him after two years if we are alive by that time. I had cast my horoscope and that of my wife using lahiri ayanamsa. Though I am running maraka dasa right now, I don't see any danger to my wife's life in the near future. I shall be grateful if learned members of this group study our horoscopes and give their enlightened views. My date of birth is 22nd feb.1939, time 11:30 A.M at Vishakhapatnam, India. My wife was also born at the same place on 2nd January 1945 at 03:45 A.M.Also I would like to know if sripathi paddhati is a reliable tool in calculating ayurdaya. Dr.B.V.Raman suggests that Jaimini's methods are more reliable I shall be thankful if any readers know the Jaimini method for calculating longevity. One more question, where in Bangalore can I find shops stocking books on astrology? Guest guest
Dear Prabhakar Rao garu, I have just now read your mail regarding longevity of yours and yours wife. It is nice that someone is atleast talking about Sripati Paddhati. We at our trust VEDA (Vedic Educational Development Academy) are coaching and training many in this school of thought, and as the founder of this trust, I have written two main books on Brihatjatak and Jaimini but temporarily suspended to publish them for many reasons. However, to cast a horoscope in Sripati paddhati is very time consuming though very accurate. This takes for us 3 to 4 days per one horoscope. Both schools are effective in their own perspectives. For me, Nadi reading for the past came to be 30% correct but 0% for future. I have also done much research in this regard, but now I feel Varahamihira and Jaimini are the best of the rest. Let Radhakrishna's grace be with you. Jairadhe "B. Prabhakar Rao" <raobprabhakar > wrote: Dear members, Recently I and my wife consulted a Nadi jyotishi at Hyderabad. Guest guest
Dear Prabhakar Rao, I don't know much about Nadi Jyotish to comment on that. However, I am trying to develop my own technique of assessing longevity. Though I can't say that I have mastered the technique, I am getting encouraging results so far. I looked at your chart. It is a clear Purnayu case and I would put you in the baseket of 80+ years of longevity. I should stop here to take my dinner. I will get back to you on your wife's chart later. Just to let you know, I am using Sripathi chart in my method. Regards, Krishna --- "B.
