Guest guest
Dear Narasimha, Thank you so much for your answer ! :-)) But... I'm quite confuse : because I'm new at learning vedic astrology, I don't know or understand some words or rules. Guest guest
Dear Marie-Christine, >>The above association should prevail in D9, D10, D3 charts too. >In D9 or in D10 or in D3 OR in D9 and in D10 and in D3 ? In all three plus other D charts. There are two aspects of all such questions:- (1) What is in destiny i.e what profession one is inclined to follow? (2) When that activity will be undertaken? To answer (1), combinations become handy and mind it without presence of these no such activity will be undertaken when time for (2) comes. Combinations i.e (1) above are like seed and indicate what will grow and (2) is like when will it grow. What will be quantity of fruit will be decided by in how many D charts such combinations exhibit. Quality will be decided by planets as enumerated by Narsimha Rao. Quoting Narsimha Rao from his prev. email:- "Writing books is a social activity related to knowledge. Activities in society are seen in D-10 (Dasamsa). Activities related to knowledge and intellectual evolution are seen in D-24 (Siddhamsa). Primarily look at those two charts (esp D-24)." >>I am giving some pieces from page 89 of my book 'Significators in Astrology', >Where can I find this book (websites...) ? "Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach" by P V R Narsimha Rao Sanjay Rath's Crux of Vedic Astrology (which will answer your questions on Argala, Arudha etc.) and my book 'Significators in Astrology' are all available from me i.e. manoramaoccult >>writers Ardra, Ashlesh, Chitra (bS), airy signs, Jupiter >What must be in these nakshatras or signs ? Lagna, Moon, Sun... ? Lagna, Moon, Sun are all taken as Lagna in Sudarsan Method (see Narsimha's book on this). Every signification whether its writing/authorship or others, has four significar dimensions- planet, nakshatras, signs and houses. For an author his ascendant, Moon or Sun can be in these nakshatras or signs for (1) given above. For (2) given above i.e. when will he write? Dasa of sign, nakshatra and the planets related to 3rd, 5th house, are relevant. Within such dasa, following transits are important to pinpoint periods. (i) Transit of 3rd or 5th lord on ascendants or ascendant lords. (ii) ascension of signs or Dwadasansh of signs related with writing. Sign and Dwadasansh (D12) of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces. D12 represent signs in respect of shape, size while Navansh (D9) represent sign in respect of quality. Position and transit of Sun through a sign is important. Sun is Rasipati, lord of the signs while (iii) transit of Moon through Nakshatras related with writing. The Moon is Nakshatrapati, lord of 27 (28) nakshatras. (iv) Wednesday, Thursday or Kaal Hora of planets related with 'writing' on other weekdays. Following combinations are also important and added to previously given combinations:- (a) Lagnesh (lord of the ascendant) and or Atmakarak associated with Bhritrakarak or Putrakak. (b) Mercury and or Jupiter related to Amatyakarak. The Karakas are here Charakarakas, as defined by Parashar and Jaimini. All this will sound too theoretical, till seen/tested against the backdrop of birth charts of many many authors of diverse fields. The terminology used here will also look unfamiliar for all those who are introduced with Vedic astrology only recently. Guest guest
Dear Visti and the list, There are many uses of D3 chart than listed in classics. One modern writer claims to know as many as 18-19 'secret' uses of the chart. That we may not be able to know till that secret leaks out. But one point is certain that D3 has got some relationship with body energy and therefore with longevity. Whenever, creative urge and energy will come into consideration, this chart will assume significance. Writing, publishing is a creative work and has therefore 3rd house link and whenever 3rd house comes into consideration, D3 will come to fore too. If you see BPHS, chapter on longevity, there is a verse which links longevity with 3rd house and Mars or 8th house and Saturn. Why? Hoping this will help, Shiv Chadha >"Visti Larsen" <vlarsen >vedic astrology ><vedic astrology> >Re: [vedic astrology] rules for predict publishing book >Thu, 7 Jun 2001 14:32:58 +0200 > >Dear Shiv. >Why D-3? >Best wishes, Visti. >- >Shiv Chadha <manoramaoccult ><vedic astrology> >Thursday, June 07, 2001 12:30 PM >Re: [vedic astrology] rules for predict publishing book > > > > Dear Marie-Christine, > > > > >>The above association should prevail in D9, D10, D3 charts too. > > > > >In D9 or in D10 or in D3 > > OR > > in D9 and in D10 and in D3 ? > > > > In all three plus other D charts. Guest guest
Hello Shiv. There are links to the 12th house showing loss, but i don't consider Dwadasamsa for loss. Ron also made this point clear when he was trying to see the relationships(7th house) from the Saptamsa(D-7). Yes the drekkana has relevance with the body parts, which can help us pinpoint "danger-zones", but using the Drekkana to see creative work makes me think twice. The 3rd house is the 8th from 8th house, and is a maraka. Hence we must judge the 8th and 3rd houses from Lagnapada to determine the circumstances of death. Why is because the 3rd house shows our actions. And surely some actions will lead to death.. not all of them. Use Chathurvimsamsa to see 'all' intellectual activities, Dasamsa to see social activities, and Navamsa to see inborn dharmic abilities. If any of these relate to writing, then judge accordingly how it will manifest. Thanx for your time. Best wishes, Visti. - Shiv Chadha <manoramaoccult <vedic astrology> Saturday, June 09, 2001 6:18 PM Re: [vedic astrology] rules for predict publishing book > Dear Visti and the list, > > There are many uses of D3 chart than listed in classics. Guest guest
Visti et al, Although the third house does possess certain negative attributes (it is a dusthana house after all), it also rules the hands, and skills. Artists and (I would assume) writers would need strong third houses, because a book (or any type of writing) is a skill. We can perhaps think of any third house (or any drekkana chart for that matter) as being symbolically associated with Mercury (as well as Mars, the karaka for brothers/siblings) because of Mercury's rulership of Mithuna, the third sign.) Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Shiv and Visti, Namaste. > Dear Visti and the list, > > There are many uses of D3 chart than listed in classics. One modern writer > claims to know as many as 18-19 'secret' uses of the chart. That we may not > be able to know till that secret leaks out. But one point is certain that D3 > has got some relationship with body energy and therefore with longevity. Sanjayji lists 4 types of Dreakkanas in Jaimini Sutram. They are: Parasara Drekkana, Privrittitraya Drekkana, Somanath Drekkana and Jagannath Drekkana. All of them have distinct areas of use, however I don't remember them exactly. I have made some notes on one of Sanjay's classes, so I will have to look them up when I get home, and then I can list them. > Whenever, creative urge and energy will come into consideration, this chart > will assume significance. Writing, publishing is a creative work and has > therefore 3rd house link and whenever 3rd house comes into consideration, D3 > will come to fore too. Well, I don't to thsi priciple of considering D-charts. For example, 7th house deals with marriage, but D-7 deals with children, which are 5th house matter. So this is not really convincing. Howe3ver, creativity and vitality also can be ascribed ot D-3. Tha's true. > If you see BPHS, chapter on longevity, there is a verse which links > longevity with 3rd house and Mars or 8th house and Saturn. Why? This is because the 3rd is the 8th from the 8th. But this is the Bhavat Bhavanam principle. But there's another interesting direct mention of Dreskana, and it's in the chapter about Marakas. Parasara states that the prenatal abode (i.e. the place where the native lived in his previous life) is indicated by the lords of the Dreskanas ocuppied by the Sun and the Moon. Anyway, the D-charts will always be full of enigmas I think, as this subject matter is so deep that no one can grasp it completely, especially in Kali yuga. Guest guest
Dear Jyotishis, dear all, Thank you to all of you for your responses to "How to see, in Rasi and Vargas, if one will write a book ?" But I'm not sure that I'll be able to see if one will publish a book, and above all, when ? Let me explain with an example : Man : 11 september 1957 at 05h45' AM CET (04h45 TU) Lyon (France) 45°N46' 4°E49' (Lagna : 18Leo40, Moon : 16Pi39 - Lahiri ayanamsa) He's writing a book now. He began writing it since february 2001 (beginning of his Sun dasa (360 year). The book is nearly finished. - When will it be the best moment to contact an editor (for him) ? (*) - When the book will be published ? - How can I know if the book will be successfull or not ? (*) what are the best dasa for this ? - Sun - Mars ? (Mars rules 9th, and is rajayogakaraka) - Sun - Rahu ? (Rahu is in 3th in Rasi, with Venus (MT, vargottama, ruler of 3th & 10th) - Sun - Jup ? (Jup is in 2th...) - Sun - Merc ? - or Sun - Ven ? (Ven is MT, vargottama, ruler of 3th & 10th) Sun-Ven is very far-off ! : 7 jan 06 -> 2 JAN 2007... And... what about transits ? Thanks to all of you for giving me your lights... :-) Best regards, Marie-Christine Belgium (Europe)
