Father's opinion on a native (Arudhas)

My dear Narayan,

I am glad that you remembered graha arudhas. However, your thinking

is not completely accurate.

Rasis and houses show the environmental influences, while planets

show people. For example, some people think that the 9th house shows

father. But, in reality, 9th house shows guidance and protection

received (from father) and not the father. Father is shown by the 9th

lord (a planet). Similarly, people are shown by planets.

Arudha means "risen one". It shows how different things rise

(manifest) in the world. Bhava arudhas show how the matters of a

bhava (house) rise materially. For example, the 5th house shows

intelligence, skills and abilities. They live inside one and cannot

be seen by the outside world. They rise materially as one's scores,

awards and prizes (and the outside world can see THEM). So, that's

what A5 (arudha of 5th house) shows. Similarly, graha arudhas show

how grahas (planets - people) rise/manifest in the material world.

Planets represents persons, but people cannot see what's inside a

person and what exactly a person is. They perceive based on how a

person comes across. Grahas show true persons and graha arudhas show

how persons come across.

Let us say Sun is the 9th lord in a chart. The position of Sun and

influence on lagna shows the true nature of father and his influence

on the native. But the arudha of Sun shows how father's influence is

perceived by son (and perhaps others). The 9th lord (a planet) shows

how father truly is and his graha arudha shows how father manifests

in this world (i.e. perceived in the world). *Graha* arudha of 9th

lord shows how father is perceived (OTOH, *bhava* arudha of 9th house

shows how guidance and protection of father is perceived).

So the graha arudha of a planet showing father would show son's

perception of father. What Vijay asked is the reverse. He asked how

to see in a native's chart how the native's father perceives him/her.

Lagna lord shows native. His graha arudha shows how the native

manifests and how (s)he is perceived. The 9th lord shows father.

Judge the position of lagna lord's graha arudha with respect to the

9th lord to see how father perceives the native.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha

AKuja is in 7th from Chandra. Lord of Aries, Kuja is in 9th. Aries

is occupied by Kethu.

His father would think about him to be friendly, and perhaps righteous.

Lord of lagna is Ravi. Arudha of Ravi (ARavi) is in Aq. Lord of 9th

is Kuja and he is in Cn.

ARavi is in 8th. Lord of ARavi is in 12th. His father would not be

satisfied by his profession. His father would think that he would be strugling

in job and perhaps as a spendthrift. But Aq is occupied by 4th and 11th

lord Sukra. His father would think

the native wants to do a job on wheels pertaining arts/business (of

selling some art pieces etc). But his father would not be liking that idea.

Best regards,

Vijay.
