K.P Method, Books, Software and Groups ?

Hi,

 

When I studied KP decades ago, all that was available were the

Readers (I think six volumes) and the magazine Astrology and

Athrishta.

 

I believe all programs probably support KP, I know Parashara's Light

does and I recall Goravani Jyotish (I only used that up to version

1.92 or so years ago). I cannot say for sure if the options are

implemented accurately or not, since I dont use the KP system. I

could never get comfortable with using Placidian cusps and treating

the rising degree as beginning of a house (too tropical for my

taste!).

 

I notice that PL calculates not just sub but sub-sub and so on. When

I last 'tasted' KP only subs were described (KP's original readers).

 

If someone is practicing KP, hopefully they will guide you, and

others too through a public message.

 

One person whose name unfortunately escapes my mind used to be quite

active on several jyotish lists (It was a surname from Punjab --

Inderjit Sahni I think ... but I could be way off mark) who used KP

quite well and demonstrated some good results for some prashnas).

Dear Raghunatha,

 

Some of the softwares that I know provide KP

calculations are

 

* Leo Gold Professional Edition

* Horosoft Professional

 

I have not tried these softwares, so I cannot comment

on their accuracy.
