astro A.. Durga pooja on Tuesday...1500 1630 hrs Rahukala

Dear Shankar

 

may be you heard the views of others.

 

There is a famous Durga temple in hyderabad, but not very big..they have every

tuesday pooja between 1500 - 1630 hrs and it is really exhaustive. The

participants gather as early as 1300 hours and they are not supposed to take any

food before start of this pooja. around 1700 hrs after the pooja is sampan..,

they get the mass distribution food also there or they can have it at their

places..

 

it is being observed by ladies mostly

The time happens to be rahu kalam that day and I understand it has been very

satisfying to many families.

The purohit who does this pooja along with many others, is quite aged now and

despite that, his methods, dedication is great. We hear that Rahu has a better

remedy on Tuesday and not on saturday or sunday..

You need to know any thing more, I can provide the phone contact of that

AS I KNOW THERE IS NO SCRIPTURAL BASIS FOR THESE RAHU KALA PUJAS, where

will u find rahu kala in any vedic ritual? as each region ha sa different

obstacle period, say Yamakanta Kala inKerala, Dur Muhurtham and Vajjyam in

ANdhra predesh no such pujas are done for those deities.

 

like many other celluloid inspired pujas, deities like Ayappan, Shiridi sai

bab etc these too have come in by celluloid insertion

BUT AS LONG AS THERE IS FAITH IN WHAT U DO (which prayers do help bring

in), it helps one being optimestic and optimsm breeds success only, no harm

 

I've no disregard to Ayappan, or Shiridi sai Baba they are definetly

powerful and bless us, All i meant the hype is cellulod created

Dear Shankar,

it is good to perform pooja with lemon garland to Durga/Kamakshi/Vasavi.Also

light a lamp after pooja with ghee in one half of the lemon after squeezing all

pulp.Do pardakshina for 11 times.On tues days and fridays it is preferable.on

the days of Navaratri every day will be good for night days.

This will be good for success and to improve public relations and to try for

going abroad
