Guest guest
Surya, the picture may be inbetween what you feel on atheist turned beliver, rarely atheists change may be an ignorant, or dormant devotee waiting for a direction or the light to enlighten him was not there around. About Idol worship, temple worships Idols serve 2 roles one is to create a centeral point to focus, concenterate upon 2 is identity. focus is important when so many thoughts keep rattling your mind or crossing your mind you need a reminder onthe one form in tront of you, once you are colse to it then other thoughts dissappear, only when your mind is free you get fresh thoughts, inputs. just like you can fill in as much water in a container as the space in it, if it has some salt water, or dirty water can you fill rest of it with drinking water no you empty it clean and fill FRESH WATER. like wise identifying god in an idol has some ayurvedha role too you identify some parts, chakras in the prayers and thus re-energise those parts in your own system that needs attention, maintainance often to be in a good receptive state to almighty's inputs. these are not forcing you, these are facilators. (the prana prathistha is one such tool as it is combined energy of the people around looking after its welfare along with divine energy needs to be charged with kumbabishekams once in a while, if you can maintain the idols at home in such fasthion it can also work same way, for generations it has to pass on without a break. there are families doing it at home even now). and after a stage the physical pointers or idols are not requirted you have the mental idol then that too disappears you are with the major idol or within the main idol floating all over it, like how the infant will be feeling its parents, enjoy total bliss. I am from a atheist, rationalist lineage. so this is very little I can say surya <dattapr2000 wrote: The atheist says that God does not exist. For him God is nothing i.e., vacant space. This is the first stage. When he sees miracles he becomes the believer in God. He accepts God as some power or energy. The power or energy is also formless, like vacant space. So the concept of God is near to his previous concept and thus the atheist (Scientist) accepts the formless (Nirakara) God very easily. The third stage is God with form (Sakara). In this stage statues in the human form are introduced. The training is given to do the sixteen upacharas (services) to these statues in human form. This training indicates that they have to worship the God in human form in this way. The sixteen upacharas are actually related to the human form only. For eg: the first upachara `Aavahanam' means invitation corresponds to the human being only and not to inert statue. The statue in the temple is better than the statue in your house. Why? Because in the temple the `Pranaprathista' i.e., initiation of life is done to the statue. This again indicates that you have to worship the statue with life. The concept is the inert statue plus life is equal to human being. Therefore in the temple the statue indicates that you have to worship the statue with life i.e., the human form of God only. Like this you are slowly trained to worship the human form of the God by the sixteen upacharas. In this training when your egoism and jealousy is completely destroyed now the human form of the God is introduced. Unless your egoism and jealousy are completely destroyed you cannot accept the human form directly. So the worship of the inert statue in the human form introduces the concept of human form, then the initiation of life (Prana pratishta) introduces the concept of living human form. Thus this is a gradual transformation of you by reducing your egoism and jealousy. When your egoism and jealousy are completely removed, the final human form of God is introduced. Only a particular man like Lord Krishna is God. This is Advaita philosophy, which is extended to every man due to the same jealousy and egoism. If every man is God, nobody requires salvation. Like this when you are travelling from vacant space to formless energy or power then you are accepting the human form but without life which is a statue in your house. In the same stage you are accepting the statue plus life in the temple, which means only a living human form. Finally you are catching the God in the present living human form. Whatever I preached here is having the best practical proof. Hanuman, the greatest of the human beings in this world worshipped Rama only who was a living human being in his time. He did not go down i.e.; he never meditated upon the formless God or the statues. In Valmiki Ramayana such things are not mentioned. He never worshipped even previous human incarnations like `Vamana'. He worshipped only the human incarnation present in his generation. Similarly Radha never worshipped `Rama' but worshipped only Krishna who was the human incarnation of her generation. As per Bhagavatham Radha also never worshipped the statues or the formless God. Hanuman became Brahma and Radha became the queen of the 15th World `Goloka'. Nobody in this world will attain a better position than these two. So your spiritual journey must end in recognizing the human incarnation of God present in your generation. God is impartial and so He comes down in human form in every generation. If you say Lord Krishna is only the latest incarnation, then that generation was blessed and God became partial. Therefore God is coming in human form in every human generation. People are not recognizing Him because after the incarnation of Krishna the egoism and jealousy are growing continuously in all the human beings. The man did not recognize the God coming in human form after Krishna. After Krishna and before `Kalki' is `Kaliyuga'. Due to the influence of the `Kali' people are full of egoism and jealousy and so they cannot recognize the human form of God in `Kaliyuga'. God comes in different human forms in the same time in various levels for the sake of devotees in various levels. He comes as a schoolteacher for the school students, as a lecturer for the college students and as a Professor for the post graduate students. Since the school students and college students are large in number he comes down as a number of schoolteachers and college lecturers. Such incarnations are called as `Amsavataras', which mean the incarnations of a small portion of His power. The incarnation of His radiation is called `Kalavatara' which is the formless God like light worshipped by some believers. The light travels as waves and the Siva Linga in the temple represents this formless God. Since the Post graduation students are less in number only one professor comes down and He is the `Pari poorna tamavathara' i.e., the most complete incarnation, which reveals the final true knowledge. He is called `Satguru' or the original Datta in the human form. Datta exists in two forms. 1) The three headed form. 2) One headed form. The three headed form indicates `Para brahma' (God) who creates, rules and destroys the Universe by His three faces. The other single headed form is the external human form in which the three-headed form exists as the internal form, which is not seen. This is the essence of the `Eka Mukha Datta' (One headed from) and `Trimukha Datta' (The three headed form). Therefore the Schoolteacher shows miracles and converts the atheist into theist. The college lecturer trains the theists in the worship of the statues having human form to remove ego and jealousy in the man and make him a devotee. The last university professor gives the final true knowledge that God comes down in human form only and that He (the professor) Himself is God. at the lotus feet of shri datta swami surya www.universal-spirituality.org "crystal pages" <jyotish_vani wrote: > > Please take this rightly (as opposed to wrongly! Guest guest
Sir, Temples are intended to with a view to congregate and worship.A place intended for religious pursuit with an installed through pranapratishta and energise for people to find solace and seek fulfilment of wishes through enhanced self effort and confidence.temples and Gods are inseperable. may be worth to cite my accidental experience at Tara Mandir built at the top of a hil nearly at 8000ft and existing almost in clouds.the temple is as old as 400 years with a priest doing sevas. The bliss one gets in such places is to be experienced to be believed. Temples serve for causes and give solace krishnan Prashant Kumar G B <gbp_kumar wrote: Surya, the picture may be inbetween what you feel on atheist turned beliver, rarely atheists change may be an ignorant, or dormant devotee waiting for a direction or the light to enlighten him was not there around. Guest guest
Can you show me that these hell and heaven are not there. You also cannot prove that hell & heaven are not there. So atleast an equal probability is there i.e., 50-50 chance. Ex: A blind fellow is walking on road. Two people approach him. One says, there is a manhole in front of you. Other fellow says, first fellow is fooling you. There is no manhole and so can proceed. Now what the blind fellow should do? If he is wise, he will take a small diversion and then walk away happily. By taking diversion definitely, he has put extra effort, energy and time. But it is not at all a loss, why because if by chance manhole is there, he will fall in that and consequence will be more difficult to imagine. Now an atheist with rigidity will follow the second fellow's advice. An atheist with little bit of wisdom follow the first fellow. How? If you take an atheist, sofar he has spent some part of his life as an atheist. Now atleast for some part of time he can experiment thinking that Lord is there and observe and compare the differences in his own life before and after. Instead of doing this in his own life for sometime, he unnecessarily spends lot of time in gossiping nonsense stating that Lord is not there. He believes in people who support him only. This is the rigidity. Our wise blind man in our above example has taken diversion instead of going straight and saved himself. Likewise these atheists should experiment theism in their life for sometime and then come to conclusion. It is highly ridiculous to see these so called atheists not even thinking in this direction but they claim as wisest. This small idea did not occur to their wisest minds. They are not even allowing their mind to think momentarily also that Lord exists, this shows their extent of rigidity. That is the reason why they could not experience an iota of His grace sofar in their lives knowingly. at the lotus feet of shri datta swami surya www.universal-spirituality.org Prashant Kumar G B <gbp_kumar wrote: > I am from a atheist, rationalist lineage. > so this is very little I can say

Guest guest
[Om Namo Narayanaya} Sri Krishnanji, Thanks for the information. Where is Tara Mandir? One question sir, why is that in some places of worship, the energy, the vibration or what ever you choose to call it , more pronounced? So much so you find the connection - direct- One to one? so pronounced you fee like out-pouring your feelings in direct communication. I have also found that this has nothing to do with the name or fame associated with the place and more with infrequent visitations. It might be my perception alone but this observation I have felt many a time. Guest guest
Just as a suggestion, for those interested, keeping a journal can keep a valuable insight. To later correlate with dashas and transits and significant horas, etc. It is tedious, so most people would be reluctant in doing. Being the technical and pragmatic craft that jyotish is, such activities do have their significance and relevance. Such as when one is having such phases and meaningful experiences. Just to clarify, I am not claiming that one would find meaningful correlations (between experiences and transits/periods etc) each and every time, but even that can be eye-opening! Guest guest
dear friends like the tara mandir mentioned by krishnan ji there are so many temples full of mystyrious miracles across the globe. for example in the same himachal pradesh, there is a steep hill atop which is bijilee mahadev shivling. this shivling absorbs all the lightenings that struck the hills and the valley surrounding that region. the shivling also gets broken in that process and the local poojaris, keep applying butter (makhan) on it and the shivlinga joins intact. it is incredible but true. the most famous shrine in himachal is jwaladevi where a fire comes in water in a cave. emperor Akbar tried his best to extinguish the fire by all means of force but failed after which he folded his hands to the jwala devi and gifted a golden umbrella which is still there. similar is the story of lord amarnath in kashmir which is the most miraculous shivling anywhere in the world. even during the summers where the maximum temperature is twenty degrees C and minimum temperature is five degrees C and no scientific reason for ice to be formed and stay in ice form, on a rock in a cave an ice shivling is formed naturally which varies from one feet to fifteen feet. they are neither stalgmites nor stalactites and have no lime or any other substance EXCEPT PURE ICE AND WATER. i have been visiting this shrine for the past 13 years and have seen hundreds of miracles which are incomprehensible even in mythology. earlier we were allowed to touch the shivling also. this year due to the ever increasing rush year after year, the government has decided to allow two months darshan and tentatively it starts from 11th june 2006 till mid august 2006. with best wishes arjun , vattem krishnan <bursar_99 wrote: > > Dear Shri RRji, > Tara Mandir is on the top of himalayan ranges. For my official erranda with some colleagues we had visited Himachal pradesh.on the way back,we decided to go on to the top of the hill.people said as it a steep hill, driving would be very very arduous.we some how made it a point to reach to the top of the hill. There the it is the sakti mandir .people worship during navaratri days regularly.otherwise there is a trust which takes care of the activities. The temple is very serene and has real scenic beauty with mountain ranges.we could not thought over a bhandara there but they serve fresh and hot food with 2-3 items as that particular day they had anushtan also.some of these things are difficult to be believed. In my case ,the transit ofsun into dhanshta into 2nd charan always leads ro strain and invloves risks.when there was a big hail storm, with land falls took place few hours before we ventured to ride to the top of hills.it is worth to risk and have darshan and spend time > even though the idol there is not imposing.such experiences are rare and difficult to be effaced from thoughts.I vowed later to visit the tara mandir if some of my wishes fulfil with my wife too. > my saturn dasa with venus antar posited 8th risks are there and set backs are there, worth all happenigs to undergo.my fifth lord from moon in 7th with 8th lord and lord.of moon sign is in parivartana with seven.dasa of 7th lord and antar of 5th has many question marks but Almighty has always something to move forward in life > krishnan > > crystal pages <jyotish_vani wrote: > Krishnan ji, > > Where is this Tara Mandir and how does one get there?
