Guest guest
The proof that light exists in the astropragmatic (used to be called astro-LOGICAL) framework is simple. It is what can actually be seen because without light one cannot see! Right? What one can see is where light is at! Some have extended that to say: What the mind knows, only that the eyes can see! Sarcastic perhaps but to clear my plate, it was not my original! Think about that, seriously, based on your personal reality -- please --rather than hitting the reply button and ...! Let us begin a new thread and really lay down our understanding about the light that we glibly talk about in the astrological framework of reference. Other than the SUN the only source of light that we know and can defend and moon its biggest reflector. But let us go beyond that and discuss what this astrological 'light' really is about in day to day astrology. We all can go and read classics, thanks to many giants on whose shoulders we have been allowed to stand and see far out! RR
Guest guest
dear RR ji before discussing light on astrological perspective, i briefly touch what this light is all about. our country "bharat" itself is full of light. bhasi diptau ratah bharata. compare this to meaningless America which denote or connote nothing except the americans' darkness (ignorance) to continue their country remaining named after the Italian Amerigo Vespucci who was WRONGLY credited with discovering that land. what you said is true that, in layman's ability what is there in mind is seen only by eyes. verily sun and moon are attributed to both eyes or loosely as day and night. a realised person closing the eyes can see with his mind with his "divya drishti" and all sages and saints used to have this. Old Testament, Genesis says that the entire creation began with a light. it also says man is god's own image. when we say "lead us to light from darkness" and we want more light or knowledge like "tamaso ma yotir gamaya" we mean dispelling our "ignorance or darkness" with the "light or knoweldge". a realised person sees the light or god within and an ignorant person remains in dark and does not see god. it is written in upanishads that to know that light (god) and reach that light, one shall approach a Guru (jupiter) who has realised god. simply put, to remove our darkness or ignorance we seek light or knowledge for which we approach the guru or jupiter. in this context, the light of jupiter or knowledge helps the native realise the god. be it the jupiter (guru of devatas) or the planet jupiter or the human guru, all are equated in getting the light of knowledge and remove our ignorance of darkness. may jupiter's light shine on all. with best wishes arjun , "crystal pages" <jyotish_vani wrote: > > The proof that light exists in the astropragmatic (used to be called > astro-LOGICAL) framework is simple. Guest guest
Namaskaar Sri Ranjan and Sri Arjuna Light carries the information of events with it. In other words, light is one of the main factors that make the time continuum possible. It brings certain continuity between events as it carries vital information from one event and enables its effects. Let us again use an example. If a very dear friend who is sitting next to you is suddenly sick but this information that is carried by energy to you – through sight and sound is arrested. Imagine something that arrests both the light and sound that it cannot reach you. In such a case, the effect of his cries for help will not be there on you. Whereas, the moment you get this information, you will act. It is safe to presume that light carries information and brings and enables cause and effect. It is the enlivener of events. Here light should be understood as energy. Cause and effect enables time. Time is defined as the interval between two events. If events aren't present time cannot be present. In deep sleep we get a glimpse of no time situation. The ancient seers of India recognized these facts and employed them beautifully into a subject of Astrology. Astrology takes its subject matter from the very basis of space and time and it does not lack in its scientific approach. Now, if we consider the Space continuum, we have 3 dimensions. Since time, space and causation is intertwined, we can add the fourth linear dimension of Time. Let us take the Time and Space Continuum, then, each effect can be the cause of many future events. So, what an astrologer is doing is trying to find out the event that is most likely to happen or most likely to absorb the mind. This makes Astrology so much more engrossing. Light passes through the eyes and perception happens in the Mind. Mind, views the event in the light of consciousness. This is the subtlest of all light. It manifests as Surya in us. It is also known as conditioned consciousness. This is what makes everything alive. This light never dies and even remains on while we are asleep. It is with this light, we know the 3 worlds: 1. Waking 2. Dream 3. Deep-Sleep I wouldn't continue on this as it is beyond Astrology. Coming back to starting discussion, light is the enabler of events and carries the information from the cause to the effect at material, astral and mental planes. This light can be direct from the source or reflected and refracted. Each reflection and refraction will alter its properties and make changes in the effects it is likely to bring. The study of light is huge and we are attempting it as a study of Jyotish - the science of light. This is a nice topic and I am posting the same to other groups as well. Guest guest
Respected RRji and Arjunji your discussion on light has thrown some light on 'light' itself. Jothish by itself meant light. One who has some education is called in the countryside as having some ' vision' .Once any educated human can be called of having some vision ,naturally an astrologer stands far out to be called as having 'height of vision' When 12th bhava is for sleep-means no light-3rd bhava is for waking, brings light to living.3rd is said to give courage, research, enlightenment, vigour. It's natural zodiac lord Mercury is for quick wit and cleverness aspected in naturall zodiac by Jupiter. In numerology 3 is Jupiter. Mercury stands for astrology and He has Jupiter star in Gemini as well 12 is occult science owned by Jupiter which has Mercury star. So to give a LIGHT -Vision-of astrology Jup &Mer naturally help. Jupiter is for knoledge and wisdom and Mercury is for cleverness and intant pickup. A renouned astrologer should have both Jup &Mer in good moods with him. Guest guest
Sir, As some body said in the group it is a computerised arrangement.when you say"A renouned astrologer should have both Jup &Mer in good moods with him."is this enough?with no dedication/sincerity of saturn? Astrological light come through an ecclectical way making our understanding cumbersome to the life problems. yet we strive to bring in some harmonisation and throw light through jyotisha what is achievable and emphsise the importance of freewill. krishnan ghopal tkp <astrogopalji wrote: Respected RRji and Arjunji your discussion on light has thrown some light on 'light' itself. Guest guest
Undoubtedly sir, This is most important:The study of light is huge and we are attempting it as a study of Jyotish -the science of light.' May be we have somebody to contradict through the theory incarnation to ward off evils to humans? may be we have unity in diversity to accept and adopt in our ways that sounds most logical but what is essential is to have some form of light through what ever way it can whetehr it can in one go remove or does not remove darkness>The procees can once begin will have to contnue to see darkness to be extinguishes through various births krishnan Bharat Hindu Astrology <hinduastrology wrote: Namaskaar Sri Ranjan and Sri Arjuna Light carries the information of events with it.
