Dear Sir,

I would like to known more about jup in the first house , beacuse i have

heard that jup in lagna has got some 100 dosha forgiven , this s what i have

heard ,dont known how true it is ,

so if some one would put light in that area and increase my knownledge it

would be wonderful

Doshi ji,

This is going to smack of arrogance and sarcasm and so on in some

circles, Dear friend but consider this:

Someone told you this thing about 100 doshas when jupiter is in lagna

and you remained silent out of deference or you were unsure if you

should ask. Now sometime later, the doubt remains in your mind but

now you are asking people who are different, and may have different

explanations to offer :-)

Through example that is exactly I have been trying to convey, even

though I get beaten up again and again! When something is stated or

claimed, ASK right away or you will carry the 'nasoor' of doubt in

your soul and that is unhealthy!

Now, it is possible that the original statement might have come from

someone who was also considering other things about that jupiter and

made that statement. We do not know, right?

Jupiter is locked to be in a sign at a given time! Over much of the

earth, that sign is going to rise for as long as 2 hours or even

longer or shorter, each day! Let us simplify and say that 2/24 or

1/12th of the day, jupiter is going to be in lagna each and everyday

at least in India and other circumequatorial countries. Right?

So if birthrate is more or less constant second by second, that is

how it is expressed by WHO etc, we can assume that 1/12th of people

born each day have jupiter in lagna or first house and therefore are

born lucky and dosha free.

If one looks at this -- at least one out of 12 individuals should be

absolutely blissful and dosha free.

And if that is not the case then one goes to look if the state of

jupiter plays any role? That jupiter in the ascendant could be in

cancer, or leo or capricorn or so on. The numbers of doshas would be

expected to vary somewhat, is that a reasonable proposition?

How about Jupiter in 9th, or 10th, fifth?

dear friends

following are FACTS which cannot be changed or denied.

1. as per hindu mythology and astrology, jupiter is the "guru" of

devatas and hence the most learnt teacher in the universe for

seeking any knowledge.

2. as per NASA, jupiter is the largest planet with largest mass in

the entire solar system and have not one but four moons.

3. the human "guru" who is equated with god in the shloka "guru

brahma guru vishnu....." whom humans put on par with god is also

inked to jupiter as per astrology.

4. as per astrology, jupiter is the only planet who has no enemies

and all planets are either friends or neutral.

5. as per astrology, jupiter is the karaka of highest number of

bhavas than any other planet.

6. as per astrology, any dosha of any planet gets reduced (removed

in many cases) just by conjunction or aspect from jupiter.

while the above are facts written in the classics without any

dilution for centuries, following are my observations:

it is up to one's logic to believe that if jupiter's light is

spreading from one house, only the neighbours gets the light and the

house from where the light is disseminated does not have light, nay,

to say that the house from where this light is sourced remains dark

is illogical.

all samhitas written by the sages define that when jupiter's

strength is weak due to debilitation or placement in a dusthana or

other reasons, jupiter will not be able to help the native with his

benefic results. they do not say that jupiter will harm the natives

even in these cases. they say this or that area is not happy

because of this.

it is the NATURAL PROPERTY of jupiter to give benefic results and it

is the natural property of rahu or ketu to give negative results.

yes since rahu and ketu are demonic in mythology and illusory in

science, they represent illusion and deceit as mentioned in

ramcharitmanas also.

if one is going to survey thousands of criminals locked in all jails

across the world and come up with a survey of these many have

jupiter in this house and those many have jupiter in that house, it

would definitely serve the purpose of painting jupiter in bad light

without proper analysis of which planet landed the native in jail.

each member has the freedom to logically agree or disagree with my

observations.

may jupiter's benign light shine on all.

Thanks for your thoughtful post! One question if I may ;-)

Why just the neighbouring houses that get Jupiter's light (your point

#6)? Why not the 5th, 7th and 9th as well for drishti and light are

so related, are they not?

since some researchers observed that jupiter's aspect is good but

presence is bad and then this bulb or ball of light analogy has

come, i mentioned neighbours getting benefited from the light and

not the original house where the ball of light is. here neighbours

means the houses he is aspecting and positively getting effected.
