Respected Pandit Arjun ji and Tatvam Asi ji,

I have been following your critique on Guru and its significance for the 5th

house and the progeny with a lot of curiosity. I do not have much to contribute

save for my own experiences that go as under:

Details:

ToB: 5 PM

PoB: Delhi

DoB: 08-06-74

Going by the preceding details, i have a Tula lagna, and therefore, Shani

becomes the santaana kaaraka as well as the yoga kaaraka.

I have Rahu in the second, Chandra in the fourth, Guru in the fifth, Shukra,

the lagnesha, in the seventh, Soorya and Ketu in the eigth, Shani and Budh in

the ninth, and Kuja in the tenth house.

My wife has already had a "medically unexplainanble" miscarriage in the year

2005. I was running Rahu mahaadasha, Ketu dasha, and Budh pratyantar at that

time.

I am only a learner of jyotish and thought that the incident could add to the

point in case.

I also have a question for the learned gurus. Although, going by the classical

definition, Guru in the fifth is not construed to be favourable for the progeny,

does Shani (the yoga kaaraka) being the santaan kaarak help. Also, Guru will be

in the fifth house soon, gochar-wise, followed by Shani's dhaiyya in November.

Please do illuminate.

Thanks and Regards,

Dear Abhiram,

Jupiter is a benefic planet but lacks emotions. To create

progeny, the mental conditions of both husband and wife should be balanced and

prepared to shower affection and care on their off-springs.

Mars and Rahu, though considered malefic, are very emotional planets and

have often been found responsible for heightened desires and affections.

Jupiter is the teacher and preacher. One would prefer to see a holy man

once in a while, but not 24 hours a day. Jupiter's over influence interferes in

the mundane materialistic struggle for survival.

Thats why, the aspect of jupiter is considered more beneficial than its

placement.

Jupiter lacks tolerance. It likes to dictate and rule, but in a much

more convincing manner than sun. This lack of tolerance itself is responsible

for psychological disorders in people who have strong jupiter.

Jupiter's idealistic nature deviates one from the rat-race, which is

necessary for the survival of the species. Reproduction is also an integral part

of this race.

So, no surprise that jupiter in fifth causes problems related to

progeny. It delays, causes miscarriages, and gives very few but intelligent

children.

I too have jupiter in fifth, in direct aspect with saturn. I had made up

my mind, even as a teenager, that I will never produce my own kids. I will

rather adopt a full orphanage. Even though I am medically fit to reproduce.

Thats jupiter.

dear ashutosh ji,

I fail to understand as to why only guru in 5th should

cause noprogeny? 5th house if it is afflicted may lead

to delayed or no progeny. today in our country IVF(in

vitro fertilisation) clinics/hoslitals are increasing.

People who go to these clinics, will there 5th house

be badly afflicted, it has to be studied. and in case

of Sri abhiram mishra, if the fifth house is strong in

his wife's chart then definitely she can give birth to

a child. Unexplainable miscarriages are rejection of

the paternal cells by the mother, this is based on

immunorejection theory. this is one of the reason they

say for which some degree of successful treatment is

available.

Undoubtedly adopting a child is a very noble

proposition.

my good wishes to shri abhiram mishra to be blessed

with a child.

Dear K.Gopu,

Guru in fifth house is only one of the several factors

which can give child-birth related problems. We are looking for astrological

explanations here. The bio-medical reasons are known to all.

Scepticism is okay, but one should also keep in mind the whole purpose

of the discussions. This is an astrological group, remember?!!

Dear Ashutoshji,

I must confess that I am a bit surprised by your departure from your

usually calm and very balanced responses now with your insistence or

at least mild impatience that the forum only harbour and encourage

astrological factors and ignore the other more prevalent reality,

based on biomedical facts! Astrology, at least in my reality, is a

description of the total human experience and my 'belief' is that it

should encompass and accommodate for biomedical reality too, as well

as pure sciences, physics, chemistry and the rest of the nine yards.

No one field or window of knowledge is perfect or complete at this

time. Neither can the doctor in the IVF claim or guarantee one a baby

through her skills and tools, nor can the astrologer give a iron-clad

guarantee about what will exactly happen, even those that claim to

use astrology and divine power or spiritual tantric abilities and

there are many such on internet and TV, let us not turn a blind eye

on that reality!

Since we are not really able to guarantee or prove even something so

basic as whether destiny or free-will reign supreme which forms the

infrastructure of our very reason to gather on this forum day and

night -- let us be a bit more patient and accepting.

I hope you will consider my genuine request in the very spirit in

which it is offered.

Dear Rohini Ji,

It seems that members are refraining from redaing the

messages word by word. In my earlier message I have simply explained why jupiter

is considered having negative influences on child birth, when placed in fifth

house. It was not an effort to blame jupiter as such for all fifth house related

ills.

But, when some less experienced members misinterpret the words, some

impatience is bound to arise.

We, as astrologers, are concerned more with the astrological reasons

behind all problems. I can discuss innumerable other non-astrological factors

related to child birth problems, but I find no reason to do so here.

I never mean or meant any offence to anyone. It is only the sun-rahu

conjunction which is causing the misinterpretations of the messages.

Ashutosh
