u've brot the picture better as u r one of KNR's students I wanted to add

these as well, but knew u will do it.

 

I agree and also have a lot of BVR, KNR collection, but the SADEST PART OF IT

IS KNR's book if he had the courage, wisdom and titled as a refuff to raman wud

have been better than giving 15-20 pages on prediciting children and rest RAMAN

bashing hope u've read this book?

 

i apply the rule he has given in it from the AM articles, which has more

details.

 

 

I respect all who have done their bit for astrology more than what they did

not do, our cud do.

 

RAMAN IS LIKE SWAMI VIVEKANANDA for Hinduism Vivekananda took Hinduism to the

west raman Hindu astrology to the west and set the chain for westerners to

bring their research into it and export it back to India as david frawly, david

andrews, richear s shaw here r doing.

 

ICAS itself had many Raman' critics and all knew but for him they had no

identity of their own and and the FUNDS, RESPECT IT GOT WAS DUE TO BVR yet I

was among the founder members then so can tell the difference as it gre the

importance of raman was also doubtless and hehad the wisdom to anounce Kapoor

to succeed him not his family or anyother another great scholar, judge.

 

Late K. ASHWATAPPA my 1st guru was among the 9 members with raman who

co-founded ICAS. ashwatappa the engineer, had roped in other stars from IIT,

IIS, INST OF ENGINEERS ETC WHO had the understanding for reseach and had the

best of both worlds.as regular astrologers joined in behind and got their

knowledge, resources exchanges, weekly research debates, the exams and

standardisation fo astrology teaching, practicing etc.

 

KNR has done well on weather, cricket matches results and has take courage to

publish his weather forecasts in national news papers 6 months before the

season unlike met dept who do a lopsided forecast in 2-3 weeks before monsson

sets in with tons of money behind them to squander.

informative reading.To thing of him and his contribution to this field is a

great tribute to a living legend.what ever may his forays into jyotish and his

differenceswith" the father of modern astrology"late B.V.Raman,to day if

jyotish has been put on a podium and acquired popularity ane eminennce,these

two great personanlities of 21st century and their contributions will remain as

always monumental.may be their schools of thought have become different.yet

they seved for the cause of jyotish.let us hail and salute them.certainly let's

be proud as they are products from our mother land.

NOW HE also wrote a book on the Man and his mission on B V RAMAN's

successful predictions ranging from world war 2 timing, its outcomes, the

partition of India, assination of Gandhi, break up of east pak. china war,

Emergency, Pak wars, resignation of Nixion, epedemics to cattle in UP, all

years before

 

K N Rao called it the greatness of RAMAN and Hindu astrology and was an

active member of ICAS stood on every platform, TILL HE BECAME WELL KNOWN and

did some research efforts with a good team as well.

 

but all his interactions and association with YOGI's and other mahatma he

claims, has all been wasted in the BOOK PLANETS AND CHILDREN

where he brought in the astrrological magazine articles of his BUT PACKED

it with contempt, hatred, venom, ridicule of BV RAMAN, his knowledege on

astrology....!

 

I remember when in in an ICAS MEETING 2 MEMBERS WHO HAD THEIR DIFERENCES,

made some heated scenes in it were called aside by RAMAN who asked both r u

interested in astrology? when both said yes he said leave it there, rest will

be taken care. by their interest alone. [not animosity]

 

 

but i was shocked to read the book Planets and children by KN RAO i

admired RAMAN and him the same till then. now I hope people if they have read

this book can add their own thoughts. VDYA VINAYA SAMPANE....?! does this bell

ring somewhere?

 

BUT KEEPING RAMAN'S LINES in shape nothing personal must get in.
