Guest guest
i am so grateful to all the people who came forward to help me with my query. Since the August of 2005 i had come across patris of quite a few babies who had rahu in the 6th house and if not aspected by the karmic control planet or a very stong aspect of a benefic suffered from mental disorder or mental illness when born in the mahadasha of the nodes and the antardasa of the nodes. I wanted to gain more knowledge on this. What happens when they come across this dasa later in life? this is my pursuit. unfortunately the data recieved so far is in adequate for answers as some have not come across the dasa. I humbly request my fellow members to continue to help me in case they come across similar findings. Vatsala Sahai +919811072159
Guest guest
Dear Vatsala, Look for other factors in the horoscopes for mental illness like the position of moon and mercury. Simply rahu in sixth never gives mental illness. Guest guest
Dear Vatsala, Ashutoshji has very correctly observed that other factors in the chart also need to be examined before predicting about the mental set up of the person. I do personally believe that such type of predictions are very serious predictions as these reflect on the character of the person and hence one should be very careful while making one's opinion regarding the mental framework of a person. Disposition of Moon & mercury is also very important feature to be analysed. Our chart reflect the spectrum of our life and each and every spect of the chart has its indispensible bearing on the mental framework of the person. Based on my experience of life I would like to share my veiws on the factors affecting the mental set up of the person. Inherent intelligence (fifth house) is very important aspect that needs to be analysed. One should be intelligent enough to absorb the good things & discard the bad that he encounters during the course of one's life. Similarly the company one keeps (seventh house) has an important role in character building of a person. Similarly the sanskar imparted to him by his family (second house) also cannot be overlooked. The inheritent intelligence & the family in which a person is born is not in one's hand. Similarly one can overcome the poor intelligence by hard work & efforts (third house). third house is also the house of spritual initiations and thus have a strong bearing of the mentality of a person. Similarly one may be in bad company but can remain unafflicted if one has a very strong character (Lagna). One may be born in a poor family or a family where he has not been given ample oppurtunities to garnish his mental setup but if the person has the ability to strugle against the odds (sixth house) this is definitely a very great asset. the vice versa of above also holds true. One may be very intelligent, but without efforts the intelligence can not do anything. One can have a very good company but unless he has a strong character he can not take advantage of the best of the company he might be in. Similarly the person may have born with a silver spoon and have all the facilities to enhance his mental capacities, but unless he has the ability to face adverse conditions he might not do well. Recently we have also had discussions on the shadripus on this list, those factors also need to be taken into account. I must admit that I do not have any classics backing my observations, but this what I have learnt in my life so far and these are my own experiences which I have tried to relate to the various houses of our chart. I reserve the right to be completely wrong in my observations, but I stand by stand that whole chart must be very carefully examined before giving any verdict on the character of a person ( of which mental setup is an integral part) Best Regards, Akhil Jain astrologerashutosh <astrologerashutosh wrote: Dear Vatsala, Look for other factors in the horoscopes for mental illness like the position of moon and mercury. Guest guest
Dear Ashutoshji and akhilji, Thank u so much for your observations. I have kept these and many other factors in mind . What was in my letter was only the tip of the iceberg.I had come across far too many horoscopes withsuch factors to ignore it. therefore I turned to the forum to substantiate my observations before coming to a conclusion. As so many persons came forward to help out I thought it imperative to let them know and take them along with me in the journey. I welcome your guidance and observations. Guest guest
Dear Akhil ji, Very true, Ashutosh ji's observation that a chart be anlysed with and integrated approach, is to be lauded. To label certain placements with a generalist attitude, pronouncing certain predictions is as a futile exercise. Your observations with real life experiences show a wholesome knowledge. Mere conjunction of Moon and mercury devoid of other aspects, and similar patterns will get us no where. There is nothing one cannot harvest thorugh the third house- with own initiatives.I have known people who have remained simple and clean in the longstanding company of friends with the shadripus in full force. The mental setup being a very complex thing with a very thin line standing between being a genius and insanity. an afflicted moon and mercury can cause havoc ,but again depends upon the numerous other factors. There was a good article I read sometime ago, the correlation of the mind and the geographic positions/movement of mercury. It was natural for novices like me to immediately jump for the combinations and look up their effects/results. I am thankfully, past that, but still a long long way to go.
