Even in the spiritual pursuits jealousy is observed. I would not argue with you about the usefulness of jealousy. I know sibling rivalry has been seen to be associated with the success of the jealous sibling (the example I mentioned in an earlier posting in this thread) but to be really scientific (there comes that dirty S word again! Sorry friends!!) the only way to nail that one would be if we compared two groups of people who arrived at the same peak of glory/acheivement, one with while the other without the "advantage" of jealousy or sibling rivalry as certain observers of human behaviour have chosen to define it as ... Good to see you becoming so engaged despite the difficult times I know you have been going through.
