Dearly beloved!

Can a chart be moral? Chart used in a loose sense here to

mean, "nativity" -- the individual fragment of the SOUL (that we

*know* precious little about personally other than clever words

stolen from scriptures and other similar (or not!) sources!

Toss that question in a jyotish forum and you will be hit with all

kinds of combinations, arudhas, vargas, and even accounts of Dashas

that made us moral or otherwise.

I have always believed that morality is not a constant, and yet it

does define our 'boundaries' of behaviour and actions. And it is

learned early on in most cases, through personal experiences but

mostly the models we identified with, adored and internalized. Now

this should not be taken inflexibly. Criminals have turned into

saints and have certainly given birth to saints. Sadly, saints or

saintly humans have also given birth to rogues and without mincing

words - dregs of humanity! I am sure each of you knows a few

examples of either case, through personal experience or accounts

that are reliable. If not, it is time to come out of your cave or

down from your mountaintop and see how the remaining 7 billion live

and experience reality! This is a request and not an imposition,

expectation or directive ;-)

You don't have to think and act when you are acting morally, it

comes out naturally and with all your being. If it does not, it is

another clever trick that some planet or house in your horoscope is

playing, teasing you away from your life-plan and trying to get you

in trouble. Some monkey of a planet that is good with words and

seductive like you would not believe it! And poor venus gets all the

bad press, and so do mars and nodes in certain circles!

When so called "rational logic" and "clever words" entice your soul -

- examine Hermes, the messenger in various layers (not just vargas!)

of your human experience. Perhaps a pattern shall appear. Persevere

since the 'monkey' can be tricky. And yet, it is the sole

connection, sole messenger - Hermes! Monkeys have been known to be

tamable and have been domesticated. Look at humans! I rest my case!!

Perhaps, each soul enters in a new role in a human

birth with a given set of social, cultural and ethical

consciousness. It then goes through varied

experiences, some of them supporting its own set of

morality which is emerging from the combination of its

social, cultural and ethical processes. Here, these

three terms encompass religion, rituals, values ...and

many more.

These experiences or karmas therefore define an

individual sense of morality as against an externally

set of imposed moral values coming from the collective

group of human beings who share the journey of this

soul through the human life.

Where will this soul end up...is perhaps a function of

its evolution through time spent in this birth.

Humans and monkeys alike then act on their own sense

of dharma. We may end up with a different concept of

consciousness at the end of this life.

In my opinion, morality is as individual as the person

or his/her chart. Its the dharma or the duty; its the

karma or the process of this duty; its the phal or the

result of action; its the joy or the fulfillment of

kama..desires..and in this trikona of dahrma, karma

and kaam........we rarely are able to find the fourth

...is it really the fourth angle..that of moksha.

Can we find this fourth dimension at all, is it not a

combination of the three dimensions.

The spatial linkages of planets in the chart, their

internal dymamics and the external ambience which

keeps acting with a force which cannot be explained

either by philosphy or physics push the native on the

road of life.

I agree with RRji that 'You don't have to think and

act when you are acting

> morally, it

> comes out naturally and with all your being. If it

> does not, it is

> another clever trick that some planet or house in

> your horoscope is

> playing, teasing you away from your life-plan and

But how do I know what is my life-plan...only

questions!!!!

The obvious beginning in that case would be the chart/s of saints

whose birthtimes are recent and accurate (no offense intended to

scriptural data).

Why mess around with valedictorians <future potentials> when the

horoscopes of Headmasters are available?

Do you agree?

we are adding to the senese of morality without even mentioning the basic

knowledge that Panchatantra has contributed to our values.Every one of us no

doubt must gleaned, glanced and even revered the great concepts.ofcourse it was

from the point of view the animal stories have been eluciadted.that might be one

reason why we would like to have a fauxpas at it.

Then now we are skipping to astral side of morality whether it carries

significance or not in tems of past present births.so we wolu like to be tied up

with rinanubandham concepts from the past to present and then to future without

caring for what is going around and how society's are aping from external

influences. So :".These experiences or karmas therefore define anindividual sense

of morality as against an externallyset of imposed moral values coming from the

collectivegroup of human beings who share the journey of thissoul through the

human life "has it's own significance not from moral perspective but from own

introspection perspective.

Rohini ji how ever finds a point when he says internalised and inflexible:"it

is learned early on in most cases, throughpersonal

> experiences but mostly the models we identified with, adored andinternalized.

Now this should not be taken inflexibly"

Now the dimensions of models what younger generations witness through T.V and

other media is through Aamir Khans,Tendulkars

and of Mecca Colas if not pepsi and ThumsUp

what could be the moral?Do we have to blame ourselves

"Rohini ji"? How formal?? Or is Winter setting in everywhere as it

is around me as we speak -- well below freezing and maybe that gives

me a different perspective that makes physical reality REAL all the

time! :-)

Stories and allegories, in my experience, Mr. Krishnan -- only work

for and appeal to those who grew up with those! As you did concede,

it takes us back to where we grew up and how.

Morality and moral sense is related to growth, of the soul and its

carnate form -- and the window for learning is very short, the early

decade or so?

Perhaps our first dasha or couple of dashas at best hold a SWAY on

that part of our experience and learning? And if that is indeed the

case -- my next focus would be on the nakshatra that natal moon is

in, because that is where life as each of us individuals know it,

began -- this time around.

Just the beginning, not the end!!

life-plan(s), did make lots of them and had them blown away pooh!!

can we blame poor Hermes(already debilitated)or ascendant 'monkeys'

or arudhas? I am sure we cannot.

Life has plans for us and not the other way round, atleast for me.

I am also in total agreement with RRji, you dont have to act or

think when you are acting morally. because it is not a cloak you

wear it when you like and throw it away when you choose to, 'monkeys

or no monkeys'. It is something so deeply woven into the fabric of

your life, consciousness that it is a vital part of you an an

individual. It is getting off your mighty moral high horse,

tolerating lesser mortals, who are fallible, who make mistakes,

typos, less learned, less articulate... before it becomes 'too

soulful' for a jyotish forum,

Regards

Nalini

Nalini,

I was not talking about lifeplans made by humans when they graduate

from school and when they were children (like I wanted to be a pilot

and all I can boast in that area is that despite being somewhat

acrophobic on open ledges -- I have absolutely no fear of flying and

actually have always enjoyed flights -- even the bumpier ones where

your 'neighbours' puke!

I am talking about the lifeplan that is hard to prove, has been

indicated (if that is any endorsement!) by psychics and saints that

the soul incarnates for a purpose and in specific surroundings (and

then risks going astray -- as we see around us all the time and

sometimes amongst ourselves and even within ourselves!)

Do not underestimate the monkey! Sometimes it manifests through

other animals (planets) that it holds a sway over!

Nalini, if this was a private conversation, I would not write this,

because you are already so accomplished and have suffered more than

most I know, by your account. So, please do not take this personally

as if aimed at you or I have anything of any value to offer to you

(as if I would even dare!) -- I keep on writing because there are

others who read some of what I write. Hopefully that is not too

arrogant or egoistical of me?

Maybe if there is someone to really decipher nature and the charts.

Cant be all logically explained away...that is why, the poet

says...''jahan na pahunche ravi tahan pahunche kavi''..where even

Sun cant permeate there the poet reaches.

She wails to her beloved...'awaz de kar hame tum bulao, diye ki

tarah na hamko jalao'' and the words echo in her mind....

" Main saanson ke har taar mein bas rahan hoon,

mein dharkan ke har raag mein baj rahan hoon

jara dil ki janib nigahen jhukao....''

Well Headmasters and students alike need to find their own path!!

RRji,

Please let not what I wrote deter you at all, accomplished I am not,

not by any account but suffered yes if you can call it suffering, I

think it is a lesson plan of the various teachers of life's school.

You know I did sometimes hate school, especially after I had

finished up reading up the text books.

RRji, I enjoy reading your posts, they are so full of 'life' 'Wit'.

I would not think that you have nothing of value to offer, only you

dont know the value of what you give. I remember and cherish every

advice and words of wisdom you had for me at all times.I dont read

some of what you write, I read all of it.

Assumption -- one would jump to from your message that SUN cannot

bring into this world Kavis -- no matter how AWFUL :-)

Allow me to contradict you, dear friend -- there are not really that

many different paths to accommodate nearly 7 billion individuals!

Hence, either it is all random chaos or there are groups of

individual souls (cars) that must share the lane or indeed were

supposed to share the lane!

Isn't that what astrology too tells us? If there were not clusters

of commonalities, what would be the point of doing the mercury in

virgo and rahu in libra thing? Astrology would be meaningless

without lanes on the highway of Soul and each lane allowing several

to share the path but each still having a unique experience

(different cars, different music, different companions, different

joys, different sorrows, different -- you name it) and yet all

traveling in the same lane on the highway of life.

Oh and different destinations for each passenger in the same car!

How could I have forgotten to add that!

The Sun alone cannot , I would say, Sir

That is why in Jyotish you need the moon too and nakshatras to conjoin

and seperate and create and recreate , throw them together and create

various flavors.

Yes...the paths are not all that different, after all the beginning and

the end same for all 7 billion. That is why one gets many copassengers,

the Sun does directs us on the highway and it reaches all places but

then again the fine tuning not the prerogative of even the mighty Sun

alone!

Certain places..there is no sunshine... [:(] ...even you look votively

and its then one has to do what the poet says..'jara dil ki janib

nigahen jhukao'...look in you and there is sunshine!

But then you look up and there is nothing to see...but then that is not

what we are discussing.

Yes sir, we are in here exactly because astrology guides us along to

find the patterns and cycles of the flow of life.

Thanks Nalini. It means a lot to me.

I must share, though that:

There are no teachers and curriculum planners, other than YOU

It is like the treasure that we all know for sure for sure lies out

there and is ours -- if only we had in our tiny hands the MAP.

We are all looking, some of us claim from time to time that they

have it, they know it!

They must be really generous and unselfish because they keep coming

back to us have-nots instead of digging that treasure for themselves!

Makes one wonder if they too need help in finding the treasure! Like

able-souled individuals to do the digging! Might not be a good idea

to turn your back towards them and lose sight of what they are

doing! For obvious reasons!! ;-)

Hmm lets take a poll then for in my opinion RRji comes across, as

one of the most compassionate, affectionate ppl going around on

these net forums, added to it is his sheer brilliance and knowledge

combined with a wise balanced worldview.

Yet, I am told that he is viewed as arrogant and conceited. I think

that such views are of a miniscule minority.

All those who agree with Naliniji and me..dont say anything.

Others may comment!

RRji,

How we would all love to lay hands on that MAP. We think we have it

gotcha, but nay it is not the right one, one that leads to the

hidden treasure, so we keep searching for the MAP, get hold of

another map only to know, again it is not the MAP and keep digging

on on....

Let me put the things in right perspective...

RRji: ''I keep on writing because there are others who read

some of what I write. Hopefully that is not too arrogant or

egoistical of me?''

[:o] you mean you dont share the online persona perception

that

RRji

is arrogant!!

rishi

naliniji: No I would not, that

is

agree that he is arrogant. assertive, vociferous, aggressive ....

The question here, naliniji, is where did all the other adjectives

come from...!!

just teasing

rishi
