Friends,

For many years, I have been reading myths about

Nagamani and thousands of gullible people having been

cheated of their money and wealth in acquiring that by

charltans.

There cannot be a crystal attributed to a snake.

At the most what you can get is a PETRIFIED EGG as

shown in Mr. Richard's picture.

I once saw a picture of a woman with a horn coming out of her

forehead. I think it was called a 'sebacious' cyst or horn or

something like that. Maybe snakes have those too -- they do have

other such similarities with humans!

Dear friend,

There is a sanskrit verse comparing Jyotisha to the Naga-Mani:

YathA shikhA mayoorANAm nAgAnAm maNayo yathA |

tathaiva sarvashAstrANam jyautiSham mUrdhani sthitam ||

Like the tufts of peacocks, like the beads of the snakes,

Jyotisha stands on the head of all other shAstras.

So, it is clear that there is a bead-like think on the head of snakes.

But I think it is for not all snakes and that too if it is present,

the bead is nothing but the solidified fluid near the mouth. The

fluid may be its poison too which when solidified, forms a

transparent bead glittering to light. This is what I found from my

studies and inquiries.

Somewhere in Ayurvedic text, I remember of having read that it

resembles WAX and is used as a medicine or its aid.

yours humbly

wax, eh? That sebaceous horn I had read about was waxy material too!

Is there a doctor in the house who can throw some light on this?
