Guest guest
Hi, Gems are worn based on astrological reasons and as ornaments. My question is how does one determine which gem should be worn to strengthen the benefics in the chart? -- Is it only for the benefics that are weak? -- Each planet owns two signs..what if the benefic that is being strengthened owns one good house (1,4,7,10,5,9) and one bad one (6,8,12)?? -- also, what if strengthening of the planet helps in one area of life and causes trouble in another?? does one have to wear it and observe or can this be determine before hand?? -- finally how does one who wears gems for ornamental value determine what can be worn without causing any negative effect?? does size matter?? Hope someone with interest in gemology will chose to answer these, others kindly ignore. thanks and regards, Shantala
Guest guest
Shantalaji Good questions. Since a book or article written over a significant period of time provides a better opportunity to respond to such a poignant query, self-promotive ego-aside -- I offer the following: Pt. Harish Johari's book on gemstones in jyotish -- a good general book with specific information on the gemology aspects and a crude but less hastily written account than a internet message: http://www.boloji.com/astro/00314.htm Of course there is a lot more available I am sure on the internet and elsewhere but while you are waiting, you may wish to peruse these.
