Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am a first timer on this group and just discovered this group by chance via Google. I'm a novice learner of this subject and am fascinated that so many individuals belong to this group. I would love to learn from any of you, so please feel free to share any information. I'm including my own birth information and would appreciate some insight on my chart. Presently I wear one 3.4 carat povla (moonga/coral) on my right hand ring finger. My birth information is: March 1st 1977 at 6.40 am in Mumbai, India Thank you in advance, Nirmala
Guest guest
Welcome. I too dabble in jyotish a bit. Why are you wearing moonga? I mean by personal choice or someone recommended? Why do you associate jyotish with gemstones? Have you read somewhere that wearing gemstones helps? I am just curious ... Guest guest
HI Rohini, Someone recommended I wear it. I see jyotish as interconnected with gemstone, especially since every gem is assigned a planet. The coral is to either strengthen/weaken my Mars in the 10th house. :-) Nir rohiniranjan <rrgb wrote: Welcome. I too dabble in jyotish a bit. Why are you wearing moonga? Guest guest
so you seem to believe in and hopefully from what positive influences you have experienced from wearing it. Or maybe you do not, and hence are asking the question here :-) Jyotish is also connected with seasons, grains, colours, types of fabrics, objects, foods, activities, natures, strengths and weaknesses, and not just gemstones :-) And are you sure jyotish texts recommended wearing of gemstones would help or does it recommend giving gemstones in charity? Don't feel obligated to respond hastily -- but you are welcome to research and see if it makes sense! , Nirmal Anand <nirdayita wrote: > > HI Rohini, > > Someone recommended I wear it. Guest guest
Rohini, Per my experience, I have noticed that gemstones are to be worn. I have not come across any advice from the spiritual and knowledgeable individuals around me that I need to donate any gemstones. I realize that planets are connected with several different things, and I try to follow as many of them as possible. I do not simply rely on gemstones to make things right, I in fact have a deeply spiritual and religious inclination which I think personally is bringing about these bits of knowledge that will help me. Right now my prayers and appeasements are going towards Shani and Mangal and I'm doing appropriate things to calm and appease their effects. I have personally noticed that I have a generally good chart, but some things were not heeded to and now I am enduring the effects of that. I can't say with any definity that gemstones have changed my life, simply because until recently I have not worn any. I wore a pearl ring for several years but it did not have much of an effect on me. I later found out that this was to prevent a love marriage :-P which in fact did take place regardless and is currently being unraveled. Hence my quest for answers and knowledge on what lies ahead. Right now remarriage is not on my mind, but it will be in a year or so. I am currently fixated on my finances and recovering my own identity. Thank you for your input, Nirmala rohiniranjan <rrgb wrote: so you seem to believe in and hopefully from what positive influences you have experienced from wearing it. Guest guest
Dear Nirmala, It is a layman's view that a moonga (coral) should be worn if one is a mangalik. This seems to be the reason why you are wearing this gem. But, acccording to my limited knowledge of jyotish, you should not be wearing a coral. If it is the advice on gems which you are seeking, as it is clear from the reference you made about coral, then, after calculating the beneficience of all planets in your chart, only venus and mercury come out as the planets whose gems you can wear safely. Guest guest
Hello Ashutosh, Oh I'm actually interested in my chart being examined, less the gemstone thing. I know what I need to know about gemstones and right now want to stick with what I have been told to wear. For some reason, all previous responses got fixated on my gemstone as opposed to my actual chart :-) I only mentioned it since I thought this information would be helpful in viewing my chart. Yes I am manglik and hence have been told to wear the coral. I was actually previously under the impression that I could wear a neelam, a heera and a panna safely, after testing the neelam out of course. However, since I was told to wear the coral, I am doing so. My actual question is about neelam, and if I could wear it. Most importantly though, I want to know how to soften the harshness of my chart since I have experienced nothing but trouble and pain for the past 11 years of my life :-) Thanks again, Nirmala astrologerashutosh <astrologerashutosh wrote: Dear Nirmala, It is a layman's view that a moonga (coral) should be worn if one is a mangalik. Guest guest
Dear Nirmala, Your 11 years of sufferings coincide with the saturn dasha going on since 1994. If saturn were giving good results, it period would not have been painfull. That is why I do not recommend neelam for you. The planets which represent the soft side of your life and represent the comfort which is due to you, are venus and mercury. Venus is well placed and in a powerfull position too. It alone has the potential to provide great smoothness to your life. Whenever I prescribe a remedy or a gem to anyone, I do so only after going through all aspects of one's horoscope. Mangalik dosha is not a dosa in itself. It is a dosha seen while matching horoscopes. In individuality, the mangal dosha is meaningless. So, there is no need for you to wear a gem for mars. This coral is adding to your troubles. It will do more harm than good. Do not wear a Heera for venus. The diamonds which are suitable as a gem for venus are the blue tinged and white diamonds. These varieties of diamonds are costlier than the usual black, brown and yellow tinged diamonds which are mistakenly being worn by people for venus. The white sapphire is an excellent and comparatively affordable gemstone for venus. Wear the white sapphire in silver and emerald in gold. Avoid black and dark blue colours in your clothes. Wear more of green, white and light blue.
