Guest guest
Hi Sunitha Fasting is not part of Vedic culture, it is called UPAVASA or alternate ways [means to subsist] so eat foods that keep u in shape, body and mind that assist the meditation, prayers satvic foods- foods without salt, spice, chillies is one that will moderate ur moods. fruits, sweet preparations, milk products etc r safe and needed. fasting/starving or not our culture. [islam, christanity had these, christanity gave up fasting after the 2 world wars as soldiers died in combat easily without food, islam fasts still] best time is early morning to start on these and pray, meditate on the subject no strainful work is done, one which will force u to curse some one or scold someone which spicy foods do if the objective is to be reached eat limitedly and satvic foods as said above god bless u.
