How to Predict Birth of a Male or a Female Child??

Dear Gurujans,

Please throw some light on the very important aspect of astrology: "Predicting

the Progeny". How can one determine if the child to be born will be a male or a

female child?

Please consider the following janmakundali of a jaatak:

First: Uranus

Second: Rahu and Neptune

Third: Empty

Fourth: Moon

Fifth: Jupiter

Sixth: Empty

Seventh: Venus

Eighth: Sun and Ketu

Ninth: Saturn and Mercury

Tenth: Mars

Eleventh: Empty

Twelfth: Pluto

The jaatak's Time of Birth: 5 PM

The jaatak's Place of Birth: Delhi

The jaatak's Date of Birth: 08-06-1974

The above jaatak's wife is in the family way. How can we tell, based on the

above planetary position and the other details of the jaatak, as to which sex

will the child belong. The jaatak's wife had a miscarriage earlier. How can we

determine if the childbirth this time will be normal or not??

Dear Abhiram ji,

There are detailed rules already envisaged in the standard classical texts

considering the logitudes of both husband and wife of the planets posited in the

5th and by working out beej and kshetra sphutas.If sum total after deducting 360

degrees comes out even or odd sign female and male child is predicted.

otherway can be by looking at the horoscope of the women expecting child find

the fifith is even or odd.Also find where jupiter is posited and find his aspect

on the 5th house.Also nature of 11th house and planets posited there are male

female or napumsa.Accordingly male planets and odd 5th house will give a male

child and female child in a even house when aspected by venus and moon etc.

But former procedure is more reliabla and dependable
