She went to the temple priest to get instructions for proper pronounciation of this Mantra, The temple Priest told her that this Mantra should only be recited by Males and Not Females. Guest guest Posted January 7, 2006 Report Share Posted January 7, 2006 Dear Srinatha, Regarding the query of the mantra if it is not initiated by a guru it will be chanting of just words which will yield you zero result.Moreover for the chanting there are many rules to be followed and if its a vedic mantra then the things are more difficult. The time a mantra is initiated by a guru that to vaishnav to his shisya it has a life force in it. Iwill never suggest you to read a book and start chanting. Thanks Brijesh "N.B.
