Guest guest
dear friends the articles under this link are thought provoking. even though i have very little knowledge on stones, i am definitely sure that ruby was recommended in the vedas to bestow kingdom or princely riches. there wre numerous instances of how ruby was worn by kings and various benefits of ruby even in dwaparyug. in the vedas ruby was mentioned as the mother of all gems representing planet sun around which all other planets are revolving. simply put, these scriptures mean that the wearer of a ruby would become as famous as sun. i can speak more on surya vamsh and who all descended and the significance of ruby. there were also instances of how snakes used to have a ruby (nagamani) as a bait to attract their pray. since ruby was mentioned as the mother of all gems in vedas, naturally other gems too existed then and were used. however, only pure natural gems are glorified in these scriptures and not the semi precious stones or uparatnas or further added substitutes. becasue of such scepticism on stones by some people and my inability to corroorate or substantiate the basis of recommendation from vedas except ruby, i have started recommending rudraksh whose usage, lordships and significance was recommneded by none other than lord shiva. with best wishes arjun , Surjit Tinaikar <stinaikar_2000> wrote: > > http://www.astrojyoti.com/articleongems.htm > > > > for Good - Make a difference this year. > > >
Guest guest
Dear Panditarjunji, I will recount what I remember from my discussions with my guruji Pandit. R.DAKSHINAMOORTHIji regarding gemstones. He generally desists from recommending gemstones for luck (except when the client insists on this) though he does prescribe them for curing certain ailments that have not responded to conventional medical treatment. Though we have puranic records of usage of ruby by kings, there was a tradition that "Nagamani" - the ruby obtained from a snake that has NEVER bitten a human being for 100 years was traditionally reserved for the use of deities in temples or for kings. Persons born of royal lineage need not check for suitability of Ruby for their use. Infact, the crown of great emperors was traditionally decorated with "Navarathnas"- all the 9 gems. However, individual use of gems was never recommended in the classics for ordinary persons. Infact, in some ancient remedial works, I have even read that gifting the gemstone is recommended rather than wearing of them. Only when a person is wealthy and wants to use a precious stone for decorating his/her ornaments, astrological advice was sought- not to ensure that is lucky for the wearer - but, to ensure the stone selected is not adverse to the wearer! There are also ayurvedic works that have described using ratna bhasma (ash obtained by reducing the gemstone to ash by proper procedures) for curing certain maladies. This is the correct approach towards gemstone, which was followed for many centuries until the advent of this current era when overt commercialization have led to rampant use of gemstone for luck! If gems have the power of changing fate and altering destinies, then no ruler would have ever lost his crown! is it not? That said, gems do have occult properties. They have the potential to reduce some doshas to a great extent. But, we must bear in mind, simply wearing a gemstone is not a panacea for all evils as is advertised by vested interests now a days. Guruji Pandit. R.DAKSHINAMOORTHI used to say that the best way to imbibe the power of gems in life is to visit ancient temples built according to agama shastras. You will find that the deities are invariably decorated with powerful gemstones. Praying to those deities by visiting the kshetras will definitely give a side-effect-free method to bring the element of luck into your life with the power of gemstones. Best wishes to members of this forum on the occasion of the English New Year 2006. Best wishes. --- panditarjun2004 <panditarjun2004 wrote: dear friends the articles under this link are thought provoking. even though i have very little knowledge on stones, i am definitely sure that ruby was recommended in the vedas to bestow kingdom or princely riches. there wre numerous instances of how ruby was worn by kings and various benefits of ruby even in dwaparyug. in the vedas ruby was mentioned as the mother of all gems representing planet sun around which all other planets are revolving. simply put, these scriptures mean that the wearer of a ruby would become as famous as sun. i can speak more on surya vamsh and who all descended and the significance of ruby. there were also instances of how snakes used to have a ruby (nagamani) as a bait to attract their pray. since ruby was mentioned as the mother of all gems in vedas, naturally other gems too existed then and were used. however, only pure natural gems are glorified in these scriptures and not the semi precious stones or uparatnas or further added substitutes. becasue of such scepticism on stones by some people and my inability to corroorate or substantiate the basis of recommendation from vedas except ruby, i have started recommending rudraksh whose usage, lordships and significance was recommneded by none other than lord shiva. with best wishes arjun , Surjit Tinaikar <stinaikar_2000> wrote: > > http://www.astrojyoti.com/articleongems.htm > > > > for Good - Make a difference this year. > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > SURRENDER JOYFULLY TO THE WILL OF THE ULTIMATE DIVINITY AND RELISH THE TASTE OF ABSOLUTE BLISS. Guest guest
I have seen very strong beneficial effects in many individuals with rose quartz (a very cheap but extremely energy-receptive stone) which was appropriately treated with reiki. They did not have to wear it, just had to drink water from the pitcher in which the RQ was placed after proper procedures. , Neeraj Gupta <gupta_neeraj_2000> wrote: > > Hi, > > I have personally felt the effects of gemstones (both > positive and negative) with different types of stones. > So, I am the strong believer of gemstones remedy. > > Some of the experiences that I felt are as follows; > > Blue Sapphire - Gives troubles, money loss, job > difficulty etc. > > Red Coral - makes me feel contented. > > Ruby - Gives confidence, but disturbs relationships > > Regards, > > Neeraj > > --- Surjit Tinaikar <stinaikar_2000> wrote: > > > http://www.astrojyoti.com/articleongems.htm > > > > > > > > for Good - Make a difference this year. > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > > removed] > > > > > > > http://www.neerajgupta.com > > > > ________ > DSL – Something to write home about. > Just $16.99/mo. or less. > dsl. >
Guest guest
Hi, I would like to know more about the procedures about placing the RQ in pitcher. Also what effects or in what conditions it should be done. I do have a rose quartz with ducks and I have placed it on my computer table.
