Namaste All,

I rushed to Visakhapatnam, AP,India on Dec 1st, where my father was

hospitalized and he passed away on Dec 3rd ( Tithi was Shukla Dwitiya and

Nakshatra was Moola). I am fortunate to see him and stay close with him in his

last few days.

I have returned today, (Dec 19th) to Minneapolis, USA from India. I will write

to you once I am back to my normal routine regarding your personal mails to me.

Thanks a lot to all of you who have prayed for him.

Regards

Raghunatha Rao

Sir,

I felt very sorry to know about your father's demise.

Though I had realized that there were no postings from

you for last couple of weeks, I simply thought that

may be you got busy with your job or family. It is

just this morning that I came to know that you had

rushed to India owing to your Dad's illness. I am

again very sorry to know all this. Please accept my

heartfelt condolences. May Mata Mahalaxmi gives you

strength to endure this loss.

dear rao garu

life is an experience and death is an experience. the soul (of your father)

is eternal and doing masikam and samvatsarikam is the best way to pay respects

to the departed soul whose blessings are divine.

joining you in this hour of grief only to remind our bounden duty towards the

departed soul. my father too passed away 13 years ago and we four brothers,

even though living in different cities/states, meet every year without fail on

our father's tidhi and do the shraddh karma together with devotion and seek his

blessings.

however, for those living in other countries and due to work exigencies, if

the shraddh could not be performed, there is an alternative. if the shraddh is

performed at gaya in bihar once, even if the annual shraddh is not performed, it

is no sin. there is a provision in gaya to do shraddh ceremony for the self

also so that even if our children do not perform this after we pass away, there

would be no sin on them.

namaste nemani ji,

Indeed we all always need blessings of our parents. Without their love and

affection we cannot move an inch ahead. But it is bitter truth that we all have

to depart this world one by one. I share your untimely loss with heavy heart.

May God stand by you in this moment.
