Guest guest
Respected Gurujans and Learned members, I want to know about the planets..Urenus,Naptune and Pluto. Many times their placements are out of consideration But Are they have significant effect on our life..and are they play important role in chart..? I want to know about each planet- role in different SIGN and in different HOUSE...If you discussed about this in earlier mails then please give me the reference in date or message numbers on this group.. If anyone know the useful link regarding this it will help me a lot. Thanking you. Vismay
Guest guest
To Vismay, Many people ask such questions, as like you arise. In western astrology those three planets are included. Then why we do not include them. Did not they have some effect on our earth or life? Actually the answers for such questions are very deep and lengthy one. At first we have to understand certain basic concepts in astrology. Astrology is all about predicting the past, present and future of a person or a thing. It is just an interpretation of Time. Great saints say that there are so many ways a person can predict the past, present and the future of a person or a thing. Astrology is one of them. Apart from astrology, there are other worthy sastras that can do the work of astrology. For example the sastra of Nadi (pulse reading to identify diseases) can be replaced for astrology. In China and India, Nadi readings to identify various diseases (body imbalance) in the body is practiced. For male, the right hand pulse is taken in account; and for female, the left hand pulse is taken in account. Every Ayurvedic physician will know the above fact. But most of us would not know that the Nadi reading can also be employed to predict the eternity of a person as like astrology. In doing that kind of prediction, the vatha nadi is taken as thamasa guna and the pitha nadi is taken as rajo guna and the kappa nadi is taken as satva guna. Thus we can predict the character and life of a person by just feeling his/her pulse. Unfortunately this art is dead. Further more there is another sastra that can do the same work of astrology. It is Pancha Patchi Sastra. Predictions are given according to the movements and behavior of five important birds, which is called as Pancha Patchi sastra. Like this we can put a long list of various sastras as like that of astrology. The main point is that we can interpret any prediction by seeing or taking any happening in this universe, because everything is inter-connected to one another. So if we are really intelligent, we can interpret anything of past, present and future by just seeing a single movement in this universe. From this theory, we have to at first understand that planets are not responsible for every happening in our life. Only our individual soul's karma is responsible for our own fate. Planets are only being a tool to do an interpretation of our life karma since we are very closely inter-connected in a natural way with planets and the universe. For the sole purpose of interpretation and predictions, we take certain planets and clusters of stars and Rasis with some planetary shadows. In this regard, we have taken Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, the shadow of Earth on Moon, and the shadow of Moon on Earth. Apart form this, we have also taken 9 upagrahas (satellites of 9 planets). Each planet has many satellites of small planets revolving around them. For astrology prediction, any one of the satellite planet from each main planet was taken. In the present astrology, the upagrahas have been lost just because of the fact that one planet has so many names. And these names made a big confusion in identifying the concerned sub-planet (upagraha). For example many would say that the upagraga for Saturn is not maandhi but Guliga. Like this there are various confusions which had nullified the use of every upagraha and its strength. I think this explanation will at least make some clarification on your question. Guest guest
Jyotishis generally speaking have not considered the transsaturnine planets seriously. A few attempts and successful claims have been heard. Few articles in the Astrological Magazine over the last 30-40 years and the work of Sri Narendra Desai come to mind. Jyotish has a very well bound, interconnected matrix-like approach where each planet has many roles and different ways of connecting with other planets and certain prescribed rulerships, ownerships and sambandhas (relationship). Introducing new players into this well- formed structure has been the big challenge even for those who wish to examine the construct. One would have to determine the rulerships of the three planets, somehow figure out their exaltation and debilitation signs, their nakshatras, their friendships (moolatrikona is required before that can be done!). And this cannot be done in a haphazard manner or by intuition! Not easily, anyway. The structure in western astrology is a lot simpler and thus the three fit in readily, given the sign-based approach and uniform aspects which apply to all planets and directions and progressions. Another thing to note, which strikes a personal chord in me is the fact that the periods (orbits) of the transsaturnine planets (84 years and higher) are such that only in recent times, significant number of individuals have begun to even experience one rotation of uranus in their lives -- and only parts of neptune and pluto. Perhaps these longer periods are better suited for countries and organizations and not so much nativities, individuals. Somebody would have to look into that. One thing that I have always been intrigued about was that given the long periodicity of pluto, 248 years or so, how did western astrologers figure out its effects in 12 signs, within years of its introduction? Surely it was not based on empirical (observed) evidence, current or even in retrospect because not a lot of such old biographical data (going back few hundred years to make at least a couple of cohort-observations through two cycles of pluto!) existed I am sure or still does. The signatures and characteristics were probably products of intuition. I don't know exactly how those were derived. Anyway ... the field is ripe and if you want to do some research in transsaturnine planets in jyotish, I say -- go for it! Guest guest
Mr Aquarian, The roles of uranus, neptune and Pluto as outer planets in Astrological, particularly in vedic astrology have not yet been confirmed.Even the ongoing research too does not accord much importance to these planets. If the nodes like Rahu and ketu which have not been considered as any substitutes in westren Astrology are sometimes viewd as the remottest planets.Interestingly in Vedic astrology we have upagrahs which seem to provide impact on life events,as some kind of matehematical points. The cosmic effects of uranus, neptue and pluto's existence through Astronomers has been confirmed their impact on flora and fauna including on humanbeings are questionable krishnan rohiniranjan <rrgb wrote: Jyotishis generally speaking have not considered the transsaturnine planets seriously. Guest guest
And please do mention planet 'x' the latest -- which is unique because it goes beyond the ecliptic belt or the garland of 'rashis' if one wishes to wax poetic! Western astrology also uses some 2400+ asteroids! There is so much in the universe that sometimes even a small pebble or eggshell becomes so important, such as in 'nimittas'. I recall someone who used such small and large cues to his personal advantage! Using such cues, he won many small lotteries. The end, unfortunately was sad, more for his young family than himself who probably resides in heaven now! Not that I am trying to make any connections between the events, here! , vattem krishnan <bursar_99> wrote: > > Mr Aquarian, > The roles of uranus, neptune and Pluto as outer planets in Astrological, particularly in vedic astrology have not yet been confirmed.Even the ongoing research too does not accord much importance to these planets. If the nodes like Rahu and ketu which have not been considered as any substitutes in westren Astrology are sometimes viewd as the remottest planets.Interestingly in Vedic astrology we have upagrahs which seem to provide impact on life events,as some kind of matehematical points. The cosmic effects of uranus, neptue and pluto's existence through Astronomers has been confirmed their impact on flora and fauna including on humanbeings are questionable > krishnan > > rohiniranjan <rrgb@s...> wrote: > Jyotishis generally speaking have not considered the transsaturnine > planets seriously. Guest guest
Respected Vismay ji, These planets do not play any role in vedic astrology for very simply reasons : 1.They are so far behind from us that they are not visible by naked eyes and dont effect our life. 2.Their orbital motion is so slow that it took around 100-200 years for them to move through 12 signs. So it is logical not to consider them in reading. They will rather add only complexity to chart. MAY GOD BLESS EVERYONE WITH PEACE AND HAPPINESS.
