Guest guest
Dear friend Ranjan Ji you have vast knowledge and I always like your writing style as it suits the current generation. either in the kishore patnaikji's thread or in the previous gurmeet singhji's thread on both the occasions, i made a open request to both of them to show maturity by saving their positive energies. i also wish to take this opportunity in thanking Tanvirji for creating this wonderful group which has attracted the best talents and he has given more than 100% freedom to all the members. Wishing all the best for JR with continued knowledge sharing arjun Tanvir <ultimate wrote: Dear Rohini Ji When I said you are sarcastic sometimes then I did not want to express any discomfort about it. Rather I have said that your sarcasms are pointed to some unusual or not-so-sensible behaviour of people. So I have no problems with it. Please try not to misunderstand me! I would said earlier if I had any problems. I think most of the people are fine with the way you express yourself. There is no need to change your writing mode to a formal one (As I feel so) - it is fine ; however only some members like Kishore Ji might prefer a formal interaction, that is merely what I was saying. I mean what I am saying. Lots of misunderstandings around - may be something up with current transits? Regards Tanvir What cannot happen, can never happen. Strangely -- none of this had anything to do with my use of the word 'fellow' but it allowed people to express their discomfort in the past. I was sincerely not aware that sometimes my teasing nature (and it only comes out amongst those who are my cyberfriends and in a sense cybercommunity where I live and work. I am not at all a stodgy and egoistic or formal person (I hate being a stuffed shirt actually!) and had no idea that what I considered as informal jest which I would happily take from others too and have in the past without feeling hurt or throwing a tantrum was causing pain. Srinivas ji's email brought that to me very clearly. I wish he had expressed this earlier. I do get irritated, I am human, when I sense and see that people are talking casually about astrology or are being phony and through asking reading requests in a certain tone. But, if I have caused pain, to those whom I have given advice astrologically, due to what was perceived as sarcasm by them - - I sincerely apologize for that, because I respect their perception. I cut my cyberteeth in 80s and early 90s in fora which were very informal and with nearly no people from Indian or Asian origins. My cyberpersona developed in that environment which was extremely informal, and open. In contrast many of the modern jyotish forums are very formal and we address others with the formality that I too grew up in in India with decades ago. Okay, no more informal chit chat for me. People are sensitive and like their distance and so I will try hard and regain my veneer of politeness and formality and distance. And since there will still be people from time to time who shall try to provoke me, I will have to be extra cautious, reserved and careful with them and try to avoid them even when they provoke. I realize now that this is a very different cyberrealm now. Thanks to all friends and supporters for all they have given me and once more apologies for any pain I caused, whether intentionally or not!
