Guest guest
Please share, if possible: 1. Which signs you consider as the exaltation and debilitation signs for rahu and ketu? 2. Classic source if known or even modern source if known, for this information. 3. Do you use these signs when considering the nodes in general considerations (yogas, dashas etc) or in special situations (chara dasha, for instance)? Information provided with examples would be most helpful but I would not mind hearing general and anecdotal views about this topic. Thanks for your help and time. Guest guest
Dear RR, I have used three types of exaltation and debilitation signs for the lunar nodes as follows: 1. Rahu is exalted in Taurus and Kethu in Scorpio (rahostu vriShabham ketorvrishchikam tungasamjn~akam) from the classical BPHS- Ch 47 - dashaaphalaadhyaaya - verse 35. Since no degree etc are given, I have chosen 15 degree as the paramoccha(maximum) point in Vrishabha and Vrishchika for Rahu and Kethu. Being mid-sign, they reduce confusion. Debilitation is 180 degree opposite, obviously. But somehow it looks like a later addition to BPHS. Whenever there is'TU', as in 'rAhostu'(In sanskrit TU has no meaning, but an emphatic meter-completing syllable), I doubt its originality! 2. A Node gets exalted in whatever sign it is, if the owner i.e. the dispositor or the sign lord is exalted. This is purely my concept, based on the logic that the nodes follow the owner/dispositor. Though this, is not unconditional, has worked well in judgement. This logic can separate nodes for study, by not accepting unconditional exaltation of BOTH nodes at the same time. Similarly, the node is taken as debilitated whenever its sign lord is debilitated. 3. A lunar node gets exalted when Luna(Moon) gets exalted. This also is purely a result of my studies. This, in my experience, is a key to know nodes acting as THEMSELVES, and not like their owner/dispositor nor like Saturn-Mars. Similarly, the debilitation follows debilitation of Moon. I have used all the above in timing events using Vimshottari Dasha. I think I have all three individual eg. charts and even those which satisfied 2 or all 3 of the above three conditions. One such chart belonged to an ex-millitary serviceman turned-teacher. Let me post his chart shortly. yours humbly, KAD , "Rohini (Crystal Pages)" <rrgb@s...> wrote: > > Please share, if possible: > > 1.
