Guest guest
I had asked abt this in another forum also and a member from this forum was kind enough to respond to my inquiry. I wanted to further inquire and ask about it...what do four planets in one house indicate? Specifically four planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus- strongest) in the eighth house indicate...Rahu is in the 1st house. I have been reading abt it where ever I can and it points me in the direction of having to do w/spirituality but I cannot find any details on the matter... 01/14/1983 Ahmedabad, India 16:09 Sejal
Guest guest
Dear Sejal, 4 planets in one sign are considered a pravrajya yoga which encourages renunciation of worldly or material attachments. The one in the chart is particularly strong because it occurs in a moksa house, the 8th, and has an exalted lord and significator Saturn. Also, Saturn exalted, in and of itself, supports non-attachment to worldly matters. This non-attachment or renunciation is the main idea of the yoga. There are, however, some specific results which depend on which of the 4 planets is strongest. They don't seem terribly meaningful, however, imo. With Venus as the strongest planet, the results are: "the renunciant is a wanderer and a follower of the materialistic school". This seems to emphasize the sense-oriented nature of Venus. Also, the qualifications for the yoga are: "4 planets possessed of strength occupy(ing) a single house". It further notes that weak planets, or defeated or combust planets will not give the full results. In this chart, only Venus is strong while the Moon is very close to the Sun and Mercury is combusted, so the results may not be so strong as to result in full renunciation, although there should be spiritual tendencies or inclinations. You can find this information in Ch. 79 of the Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra which you can find in the files/text section of this newsgroup.
