Guest guest
Hi, My date of birth is 30-April-1974, 4:45 am, Bangalore. Lagna, Pisces, Moon in Cancer, Aslesha. Since last august I have been going through Venus dasa and Mercury subdasa. Though mercury gives kendradhipathi dosha, i have been wearing an emerald since my last birthday..the last year has been quite magical. I have never dreamt of travelling to US or UK, (though there was a subconscious desire to experience these places) and yet in July I went to US for 3 weeks and I am slated to go to London next week. What could be the reason? Last month I picked up a yellow sapphire and wore it on the index figure while the emerald was on the little figure of the right hand..but somehow it caused a lot of stress and arguments... i almost quit my job because of it...jupiter is in 12th house..because i was scared of.So I removed it and life has gotten better. Also I would like to wear a red coral on my third finger mercury on my little finger..since my mars and mercury have a parivartana yoga...but i don't know if it is advisable..somehow my luck in life has always been low..and marriage has been delayed long enough...red coral might pacify mars. Please look at the horoscope and advise.
Guest guest
Dear Usha, I think your travels may have had something to do with the transits occurring at the time. In July, Jupiter was transiting Virgo, while Mars and Rahu were in Pisces. From the natal chart, this was 9th lord Mars conjunct the lagna degree. From the Moon's chart, this was 9th lord Jupiter aspecting its own 9th house while Mars-Rahu occupied this 9th house (and were also in the area of the 24th degree, where natal Moon is). With the upcoming trip to London, Rahu is still in the 9th house from Moon and transiting Jupiter, now in Libra, aspects the Moon's 9th lord, Jupiter. Is it at all possible that the yellow sapphire was of poor quality, or not large enough? It's surprising that it gave difficulties since the gem of the lagna lord is considered extremely beneficial and is always advisable to wear. I checked to see if there was possibly a transit that might account for arguments and tensions, and there is one- Mars' transit of Aries, the natal 2nd house (speech) and Moon's 10th house (professional life). That transit, however, has been there since July of this year and I see no reason why it would only be problematic last month, so I'm not sure if this accounts for the problems you had. Nevertheless, it might not be a bad idea, if you still have the ring, to give it another try. The fact that Jupiter is in the 12th is (for many astrologers) exactly why it needs to be strengthened by gemstone, mantra or yagya. As for Mars' stone, it's generally inadvisable to wear the gem of a malefic like Mars when that planet is not lagna lord or dasa/bhukti lord. The idea of strengthening the parivartana yoga sounds good, but strengthening Mars may also negatively affect the planets and houses Mars is associated with (i.e. Saturn, the 4th, 7th, 10th and 11th). In terms of pacifying Mars, mantra or yagya is probably a better choice. All the best, JN , "Usha" <parvatishankar> wrote: > Hi, > > My date of birth is 30-April-1974, 4:45 am, Bangalore. Guest guest
Hi, Thanks for the input! Even I have been suspecting that rahu might be responsible for the unexpected travel. About the yellow sapphire, my worries are that jupiter has a sakata yoga with the moon, 5th lord in 5th house and atmakaraka. (Of all the planets, moon has been the kindest for me. I have also seen extreme rise and fall in my life..in fact, i would think mostly during the jupiter sub-times...thought jupiter has not really harmed me, it has curbed my inner desires...) Also when i look back, the sub-dasa periods of Jupiter has made me introspect so much that i wrote a book of short stories (i am a writer) but the sub-dasa never fetched any money. instead, my family spent enormous amount of money on my indulgences. I never worked during the jupiter period and yet had unnecessary expenditures. Given that, the moment I put the yellow sapphire on, i panicked when things started going wrong at work...also is it possible that because I was also wearing an emerald on my ring finger at the same time, it caused arguments at work? It is funny how the malefics in my chart are exalted, while the benefics are weak. and how the malefics like rahu and ketu are debilitated and yet have total control over the chart because of their position. Except the moon, I am quite wary of the other planets. Frankly, I dont know which gemstone to use..the emerald is working because it is also the sub-dasa lord, but I fear it might take away other more important things in my life..such as marriage, etc. Quite confusing. , "frmbeyond111" <Ashlesha9@a...> wrote: > > Dear Usha, > > I think your travels may have had something to do with the transits > occurring at the time. > > In July, Jupiter was transiting Virgo, while Mars and Rahu were in > Pisces. Guest guest
Dear Usha, This is all very interesting. I really enjoy hearing about how a chart is expressed like this. Exalted Sun conjunct Mercury in the 2nd seems excellent for a writer. Especially in maha yoga with Gemini Mars. Also, the introspection, rise and fall, and expenses during Jupiter's sub-periods are interesting to hear of. There are a couple of things that I wanted to comment on. I think that even with the shakata yoga, Jupiter's gem should still be beneficial. The way I understand it is that wearing its gem should improve it's areas by lending support to the planet and will not augment any of the negative effects. I can understand your concern, however. As for Mercury's gemstone- here, again, I don't think the gem should cause any harm to its significations. 4th and 7th house matters should only improve from wearing it. I realized that Saturn was sending a very close (less than 5 degrees) debilitated transiting aspect to Sun-Mercury last month. Since the Sun is the 6th lord of conflicts and arguments, this close malefic aspect might also make some sense of the troubles you had.
