Guest guest
Karakamsha sign is the navamsha sign in which atmakaraka is placed. This is unambiguously stated by Parashara and Jaimini (or attributed to them, if one wants to be legally-correct!). And there is no modern variation to that, as far as I know. A: Thereafter, some individuals look at the navamsha positions of other planets oriented from that sign. B: Others look at the sign positions of other planets oriented from that (navamsha) sign. For example atmakaraka is sun and placed in kanya rashi and simha navamsha. The karakamsha would be simha. Both camps, A and B would then draw the karakamsha chart with Simha in the first house. Camp 'A' will use the navamsha positions of the planets in the karakamsha chart, while camp 'B' would use the rashi positions of the planets. Camp 'A' will always have the atmakaraka in the first house, camp 'B' would only have atmakaraka in first house when it is vargottama. I think I got it right! Has anyone examined and studied these two modern variants of karakamsha and would they share their findings here or privately with me? I am at clarity2020 Thanks!
