JUPITER RAHU COMBINATIONS

Respected MEMBERS.

 

I have a note featuring the COMBINATIONS OF RAHU + JUPITER causing

CURSES as follows -----

 

Curse of the Snakes (Nägas)

 

1) Jupiter conjoins Rähu, in the 5th and its lord is weak and lagna

conjoins Mars.

2) Jupiter conjoins Mars, Rähu in the 1st and 5th lord in the 6th,

8th or 12th house.

3) 5th lord, Mercury in a Martian naväàça conjoined with Mars, while

Rähu and Mandi are in lagna.

4) Rähu, Mercury, Jupiter in the 5th house, while lords of lagna and

5th are weak.

5) Lagna lord conjoins Rähu while 5th lord conjoins Mars or Jupiter

conjoins Rähu.

 

The snakes (nägas) are in the category of apädidevatas (minor

demigods) who take care of the household affairs etc. The curse of

the snakes is likely when someone lives in a building in which the

Västu-puruña was not properly worshipped or if someone dissatisfies

Bhümi-devé (the Deity of the Earth). Therefore the upäya should

consist of worshipping Çré Anantadeva and Prithivé-devé, and donating

land, cows, sesame seeds and gold.

 

 

Mantras for worship of Çré Ananta:

oà namas te bahu-rüpäya viñëave paramätmaëe svähä

 

"Obeisances to Viñëu, the Supersoul, Who has many forms."

 

One may also offer ärghya (conch filled with milk) to the Earth

(Prithivé-devé) with the following mantra:

oà atra tiñöhanti ye nägä bhümiñöhä bhümi-pälakäù

apasarpantu te sarve gåhänärghyaà dharitri me

hiraëyagarbhe vasudhe çeñasya pariñäyiné

vasämy ahaà tava påñöhe gåhänärghyaà dharitri me

 

 

"May all snakes leave this place. O Earth, please accept this ärghya

resting on Çeña, O Hiraëyagarbha, I reside on Your back. O Earth,

please accept this ärghya."

 

Curse of the Brähmaëas

 

The curses of brähmaëas appear when the native was disrespectful to

brähmaëas or his teachers, Gurus in his previous life or if he has

committed any sins against them like criticising them, stealing from

them, killing a brähmaëa or breaking his wows of purity. The

brähmaëas are the topmost members of the society, and they are

especially favoured by the Lord. Mahärñi Paräçara specifically

mentions that this offensive mentality may develop if one becomes

proud of his excessive power, property, physical strength, status,

wealth etc. The combinations are the following (BPHS 85.71-78.):

 

1) Rähu is in Jupiter's sign, and 5th house has Jupiter, Mars and

Saturn, while the 9th lord is in the 8th.

2) 9th lord in 5th, 5th lord in 8th with Jupiter, Mars and Rähu or

aspected by them.

3) Jupiter is debilitated, Rähu is in the lagna or 5th, and 5th lord

is in 6th, 8th or 12th.

4) Jupiter and Saturn in lagna, while Rähu is in the 9th.

5) Rähu and Jupiter are in the 12th house.

6) Rähu in lagna, Saturn in 5th, and Jupiter in 8th.

 

The remedies suggested are:

1) observance of the cändräyaëa fast;

2) donation of a cow, money, païcaratna and gold to a brähmaëa.

3) Also feeding the brähmaëas is a good remedial measure.
