Guest guest
You are right, dear member, that astrology is based on mathematical calculation. However, it is calculating something that is not absolute, but relative. Let me elaborate. Let us say you are facing a mirror which has calibration marks etched on it in inches and tenth of inches. When you look at your image in it, you see the blue button on your shirt (marker) at let us say the 10.5 inches mark. You would say that the image of the button is at 10.5. Another person, a bit to your left looking at your blue button's image would see it at 11.5". One that is just behind you but a little taller would see that the blue button does not touch the calibration line at all! Using the same math and calibration, there were three different quantities derived for the position. Which one is absolute and accurate? A similar situation arises with astrological calculations because of involvement of ayanamsha, geotopical vs geocentric etc. They are all using NASA JPL routines but different values emerge. If astrology were something where one quantity, factor or combination could ONLY mean one thing, then the problem would not arise. Since it deals with consideration, analysis and synthesis of several factors at the same time with different weightings involved, there tend to creep in interpretive differences. Though lagna is important, there are instances where twins were born with the same lagna and all other planetary positions, but experienced significant differences in life. So, I would advise you to remain open and not nail the box shut so quickly. But you have the hammer in your hand, and you have the final say in what you will do about it! It is remarkable and intriguing that you are firmly convinced that astrology is science and absolutely true, yet you have doubts about it! On what evidence are you making such a strong claim or strong belief about astrology? I am not challenging what astrology is or is not, but curious to know more about the source of your strong conviction about it. Please don't feel challenged or take it personally! The taurus/gemini doubt arises because you were born so near the cusp. A few minutes earlier and you would be considered a taurus by some ayanamshas. Despite rectifications and so on, this doubt will not go away, and you may keep switching your allegience from one to another based on what a certain astrologer tells you and you get convinced and a few years later if you keep looking into your chart and interest in astrology, someone else may come along with a different set of evidence which will convince you otherwise. It is somewhat unusual that your time was recorded so precisely as 2:37. Oftentimes it is rounded of to the nearest five or ten minutes even and if recorded in a hospital, it depends on how normal the delivery was. The more complications, the less likelihood of the birthing team paying careful attention to the clock, rather than to the mother and infant. To make matters more complex, what is the exact moment of birth is also subject to debate. Anyway -- this generally does not influence a lot of people but has a major impact on someone like you with a birthtime that could go this way or that way! In such instances in a proper reading setting, many questions will be asked to understand where the birthtime is coming from. This is not a reading setting, so given all the above qualifiers, one can be less than careful but still there remains the need to caution you. A job that involves caring or serving others, perhaps related to nutrition, food, directly or indirectly seems a possibility. , "Guess" <sidas_28 wrote: > > Dear Members > I am just asking a simple question.. during your so long experience what > do you feel about the astrological calculation.
