Guest guest
Dear friend, Thanks for your post. Yes it is diffilult to complete the chart! I have used what is available to join 2-3 bits; thats all! To be frank, no historian accepts that Ramayana is a part of Indian history, but a 'just' a story of religious interest. Same was the case even with Mahabharata until Dr. S.R. Rao of the Marine Archaeology Unit of the National Institute of Oceanography of India, started proving it to be a history! Yet, with modern astronomical technics and software available, many have successfully dated Mahabharata and also Ramayana. Though there are different versions of epic available, the Valmiki Ramayana, the oldest of them is held with reverence. Even though some 'local hands' can do some mischiefs like addition, deletion or correction here and there, the facts of ASTROLOGY and ASTRONOMY are the least touched upon. Such fake documents can not be easily created if one is not a learned astrologer/astronomer and knows every little detail! Even there are people who quote Ramayana, Bharata from memory! The Vedic culture was Guru-Shishya Parampara with Oral and by heart methods of teaching. That is the reason we saved Vedas as they were! So, though I believe there are 'defects' in epic texts available, the astronomical observation can still be believed. It does not mean that we must accept all that is there in the book; but that is the first step to know the truth!
