Guest guest
Hello, In fact all these activities are encompassed for the purpose of spirtualism. The initiation/beginning has to be made religious,go by offers/rituals and no doubt gets covered under broad term religion.when these activities are pursued for further enlightenmentand becomes spirtual. Excepting Gem mentioned in your list, all other actions made with specific objective relate to a system of faith and religion(personal to the person concerned) and is part of religion. where as Gem if used as part of remedies does not fall under religious approach. It is faith but not related to spirtual aspects. krishnan raghuvenkataj <raghuvenkataj wrote: Gentlemen, I am tempted to ask this question. Guest guest
Dear friend, The astrological remedies are neither religious, ritualistic nor spiritual but they are VEDIC! A vedic remedy is one which makes the native UNDERSTAND(= root VID of sanskrit) what, why, how is he/she doing it and for WHAT? Roughly: *If he/she understands and REALISES in terms of BRAHMA, and gets ailments cleared, it is JN~ANA maarga(Knowledge). *If the person realises supremacy of GOD and tries to unify with omnipresent and thus gets ailments cleared, it is BHAKTI(devotion). *If the person follows the remedial measure with due belief in procedures, it is ritualistic or TANTRIK. This includes Yantra, Mantra, Tantra, Yajna, Pooja, Gems.. etc.. *If a person, follows a remedy to get his ailment cured, it is purely materialistic or LOUKIKA. There is no SPIRITUAL remedy, since it has to be found by oneself! Meditation, Yoga etc are just initiation and orientation for a beginner; real spiritual way is found only by one's own SPIRIT! When we say a remedy is VEDIC, its aim is make one VID(know) about himself. Otherwise, they are simply materialistic. yours humbly, KAD , "raghuvenkataj" <raghuvenkataj> wrote: > Gentlemen, > > I am tempted to ask this question. > > Astrological Remedies viz., Yagya, Mantra, Yantra, Tantra, Gem, Pooja > (Abhishekam, Vrata), Yoga, Medidation fall into which of the below > categories (or, are there any other categories) > > 1. Guest guest
dear friend your question has been answered several times in the past by several members, but to refresh again, the four words used by you are all inexplicably intertwined and each is related to the other. as laid in gita or in our scriptures, there are four paths of reaching god. in order of their merit, they are karma marg, gnana marg, prema marg and bhakti marg. the same is advocated in christianity also by saints like james, peter, paul and john. each path is good in its own way and neither inferior or superior to another. once ashutoshji said that he is an athiest, but he has faith in the planets and gems (if not god) and believes in doing good to others and actually does good to various people who visit or consult him, so he is liked by god and he reaches god (as elucidated in gita by lord krishna) you can delete tantra as it involves both doing good and bad. however, most people talk about them and preach about them and very few people actally practice and march on those paths sincerley. it is good to observe that several members are well-read and well-learnt in sharing their knowledge in vedic metaphysics. with best wishes arjun raghuvenkataj <raghuvenkataj wrote: Gentlemen, I am tempted to ask this question.
