Yes, Sir. I do regret for posting a personal request. It has been a tradition

in India to give gurudakshina for getting a 'boon' or aashirwad. In the net

there is no such provision. People like me, knowingly, do make mistakes. I

sincerely regret my ignorance. I completely agree with you. This group, if

devoid of academic analysis, will definitely become pedestrian with full of

personal problems/queries. I express my apologies for posting my problem.

I agree with Mr. Tripathy regarding the objective of

this forum. I am not against helping those in need but

not he cost of researches or studies. However any

member posting his query definitely helps the very

objective of this group as the group gets to discuss a

case through various angles & discuss verious facets

of Astrology.

 

So rather than only giving predictions & suggesting

remedies, I would request all members of this group to

present thier analysis & views on the case and the

logic behind the remedies that have been suggested by

them.

 

However to work in such type of atmosphere the members

will have to be more patient, tolerant & responsible

in a way that they must come out with thier views on

the analysis presented (if they study the hc and have

some comments to make) and surely there will always be

more than one analysis/opinions on any case. So one

neds to take the counter analysis as an option to work

on rather than taking it as a criticism. All the

members have to restrict the discussion only upto the

astrology and no personal bickering shall be resorted

to.

 

These are my vieews though, other learned list members

can throw some more light on this.

no point:all members of this group to present thier analysis & views on the case

Some times this paltform is being put to wrong use.what is important is genuine

need to serve and promote the subject Astrology.Exceting for a couple of members

all others would like to use the opportunity to promote their own interests .The

interst being evinced is only to make feel that the efforts put in is going into

the zone of recognition.

Hello Mr. Krishnan,

 

I fully agree with you that every member has a

different objective in attending to he queries. You

are a master, but there are perosns like me who are

just learners. We look forward to you learned members

to hone our skills, clear our doubts, help us

understand the nuances of astrology and develop an

insight in us.

 

As you always do, you have very correctly pointed out

that conscious effort is to be made to promote

astrology and make people understand that this really

is a divine science and being grossly mishandled and

abused by the quacks.

 

But how do we do that? We need to pass on the

knowledge generations after generations to those who

wish to learn & those who r worthy of it.

 

How do we make good doctors & good engineers? They

work under the aegis of experience & learned seniors,

seek thier guidance and are trained. Every body is

bound to make mistakes in the learning procee, but how

to ensure that those mistake doesnt do harm to anyone?

It can be only achieved if done under the guidance of

those who know more and if some one commits a mistake

it becomes a moral resposiblity of the senior members

to pint out those mistakes. Its thier obligation to

both those seeking their guidance and also to the

science of astrology.

Hi Mr Akhil,

When we really get in to service we have faith on us and on the divine too.so we

get into Astrology and start giving guidance in our way.For Ex : I have seen the

Group has made lot of bash on Gems (as a remedial measure).May be it is genuine

to suggest a gem i do not deny.But there are several other ways too.Seldom these

courses are not even suggested for trial.it is not that " we are honestly open

for corrections" Basically in this field we work on a faith based on our

knowlege and belief.I have seen in couple of cases Mrityunjaya mantra doing

wonders. in very critical cases of life and death.Even if I advoacate strongly

there will be few takers and we debate at length and do not ultimately

reconcile.So I do not believe in:

"if some one commits a mistakeit becomes a moral resposiblity of the senior

membersto pint out those mistakes. Its thier obligation to

both those seeking their guidance and also to the

science of astrology."

The best realisation is self realisation.when it dawns mistakes if made will not

have any bearing on other's life.

Basically Astrology is learnt by many people in many ways.some read

enthusiastically through self studies(j.U.B.Sastry) and serve.some by way of

life they learn and some others through their elders and peers.All these ways

give their own meaning.

But by debate,suggestion and ultimate reconciliation never happens.That is how

late Raman differed from K.N.rao.Both in their own way they felt they are

right.Even Raman's seniority was not respected.

we do commit mistakes and realise only when predictions go wrong we blame on the

consistency of data but not on the approaches

Even in classics the story is same.May be this subject grows with diversity but

not with unity.

In the recent times Deepak Kapoor and Vinay Aditya have cogently made their

views and advocated the base of Astrology.It is for us to go or not to go with

them.

In the end let me emphasise:If a needy person comes for an advise give him the

advice only when you are sure he is ready to solve his own problem through

advice.At that time your view would be certainly right.It may become wrong only

if some other Astrologer opines other way.It is ofcourse certainly not uncommon.

Even myself as a student always differed with the way justice S.N.kapoor has

brought out Astrology and even with K.N.Rao in an open platform when he declared

"bright days ahead for Vajpayee Govt"

I do not think in all these eloquent deliberations some body was wrong and some

body is right.It is only how we look at the chart or the subject and frame our

mind.If i diagnose a patient as viral fever and it is said as malaria later not

that it is a gross error and some body argues the case for malaria and is right.

let's only restrict ourselves and understand the nuances of the field by closely

following various versions but never countering them.
