Guest guest
Dear Learned scholors, Namasthey. I shall be much obliged if it is possible for you to help me in understanding the reson for the difference in plante's longitude when calculated through different softwares even though the ayanamsa used is the same. For example calculation done for a person's birth data with the same ayanamsa (Lahiri) using junior jyotich and Maitreya's Dream 3.2.1 differ. The difference in R&K longitudes are much more than the other planets. With respects Yours Sincerely, S.Dheenadayalan
Guest guest
Dear Deenadhayalan, These planets being retrograde have no uniformity in motion and velocity and in the process of ecliptical cycle differences do come in longitudes. These planets that is how have true and mean positions. krishnan dheena0104 <dheena0104 wrote: Dear Learned scholors, Namasthey. Guest guest
Hello Ashutosh, There are two different longitudes for Rahu - Mean and True. This may be the difference for the longitudes depending upon the option used by the software maker. I find that Junior Jyotish uses True position of Rahu. My 2 cents.
