7 and 1/2 , or 10 , or even 12.5 years of Shani?

I am sure that the following has been observed before:

 

1. Saturn has 3rd and 10th house aspects

2. Saade Sathi is when Saturn passes through the 12th, 1st, 2nd from

native's Moon.

 

By this reckoning, would not Saturn be troubling (or character

building) to a particular native for around 10 years?

 

2.5 yrs for 2 signs before (3rd house asp.)

+ 2.5 for sign before

+ 2.5 same sign

+ 2.5 sign after

-------------------

= 10 years

 

Or are graha aspects felt very differently than the narrowing of

the orb of influence as Saturn transits towards conjunction?

 

I have interest in this issue particularly because Shani is

currently aspecting my Moon in early degs. of Virg by way of 3rd

house aspect.

 

If you add to this the ashtami shani then you may get 12.5 years of

trying times(?):

1. 10th house positioning from Moon > > >

2. 11th house -- 3rd house asp. of Shani

3. then Saade Sathi --

 

You can see what I am taking about. I am not trying to be

disrespectful, just to create a hypothetical to understand the logos

or logic underneath.

 

I realize that Shani in 11th from Moon is usually seen in an

advantageous light for material gains. What is the main reasoning

behind this?
