Official Birth Announcement

1:50 PM 6/22/2005 Wed

On Tue, Jun 14, 2005, at 10.12PM EDT, in Morristown, NJ, my beloved

other half, Marlene gave birth to our

son, Malcolm Elijah. He weighed in at 9lbs and was 21 inches long.

Marlene's labor was induced, having

reached the 41 week mark; she labored for 12 hours and pushed for 2.

Malcolm's was a vaginal birth and is

fine. I call him "Burpman" for the obvious reasons, LOL. I acted as

Marlene's birthing coach, and was given

high marks by the attending medical team for doing "an exceptional

job". Though Malcolm is my 2nd son, in

many ways he is a "first" for I've never attended a live birth, much

less coached one. It is an experience I will

never forget for the rest of my days. And I so love Marlene. She is

doing fine and resting at home.

"Malcolm Elijah", by the way, was the name we chose for him, in

honor ot two of America's greatest heroes -

Malcolm X and (the Honorable) Elijah Muhammad, founder of the Nation

of Islam. We have decided that the

rest of our children (we plan to have at least one more) will be

named after famous African Americans whose

first names begin with the letter M. So, if I'm blessed to have a

3rd son, he will be named Miles Davis; if it be

a daughter, she will be named Marianna Jacqueline (since Marlene

doesn't like the female famous Black

M-names; "Marianna Jacqueline" is taken after her mom and my mom,

respectively). So everyone in the family

will have names beginning with the letter M. Nice, I think.

Malcolm's Vedic chart is...amazing. In all my years of doing

Jyotish, I have RARELY come accross such

"pristine" charts - and I'm not saying this because it belongs to

the newest member of the clan, I really mean

it. You don't come accross charts like his often.

First off, just looking at his chart, it bears an eerie resembalence

to mine - we both have Sag Asc, with

Lagnesh Jupiter in Virgo, in the 10th and conjunct Ketu!!! We both

have Mars aspect our Moons; both our

Moons are in Human Naksatras; and both our Moons are Waxing. Both of

us have Venus angular, aspecting

the Lagna; both of us share the same Nodal sign and house

positions...I mean, it's really uncanny. In so

many ways, he truly is his father's son.

On top of that, his chart is just brimming over with highly

significant yogas. First up, is the Kala Sarpa Yoga,

the only component not caught between the Nodes being the Asc

itself. Because of the position of the

Nodes, this yoga brings alot more good than bad, and is in large

part responsibile for his very strong

astrologer's pedigree (he'll begin his training when transit Ketu

crosses natal Rahu).

Next, note that the lords of the angular houses are in other angular

houses, a strong signal of a VERY strong

chart. Takes after his old man, LOL. He'll make a huge impression

wherever he goes. This yoga is good for the

overall indications promised in the chart throughout his life.

The Chandra-Mangala Yoga and Gaja-Kesari Yoga here are both very

important, in light of the fact that they

occur at night when the Moon is naturally strong, when the Moon is

Waxing, or gaining in Light, and the fact

that these yogas occur in an angle from the Asc. Therefore, the

indications promised from these yogas are

very, very strong.

Kahala Yoga occurs here, as the Sun, the 9th lord, and Jupiter, the

4th lord, are in angles from each other,

strengthening the indications of both houses. The Satkalatra Yoga in

the 7th, the coming together of

Mercury and Venus, is a fine augury for marital bliss (after some

initial setbacks, due to the Venus lordship of

the 6th and 11th houses; in case you're wondering, Kuja Dosha

doesn't apply here; for a man, Mars in the

4th is cool, and in any event is watered down by the presence of

Jupiter and the Moon in the 10th, along

with the overall buoyancy of the good yogas in the chart). He was

the cat's meow in the nursery, since

Marlene made sure he was the best dressed baby on the ward; he was

constantly being picked up and kissed

by virtually all of the nursing staff (born in Venus Dasa - again,

like me!-and I too was treated that way

when I was born)

Bhadra Yoga, one of the Mahapurusha Yogas - one of the five

combinations of a great person - is very, very

strong here. Mercury is in its own sign, strong by degree, conjunct

a natural benefic, is in an angle from

BOTH the Asc AND the Moon, and disposes of no less than SIX PLANETS

in the chart!!! Malcolm will be

Mercury Personified - I expect him to be talking, walking, working

with gadgets, you name it, very, very soon.

And, as Mercury is in Rahu's star, this again makes him a fine

candidate to be an astrologer. I intend to teach

him everything I know. Even the stuff I've never written online

about.

Finally, Malcolm's chart shows two very powerful Dharma Karma

Adipati Yogas (JUST LIKE ME AGAIN! WHEW!)

- Mars and Jupiter, rulers of the 4th and 5th houses, mutual aspect

one another in the 4-10 axis; and the

Sun and Mercury, rulers of the 9th and 10th houses, conjunct in the

7th. It doesn't get much better than

this, folks.

In Indian circles, I believe his chart would qualify him to be

a "Kubera" a male child that brings prosperity

upon the parents, especially if they do right by him. Marlene and I

love him dearly. And I'm so proud of him

already!

Both my son's charts have strong linkages to my own, and I suspect

that our next child's will also. By the

way, Marlene's chart also has strong links and ties to Malcolm's -

she has Gemini Asc, with the Sun, Mercury

and Venus in Taurus in the 12th; the Moon and Saturn are both in Cap

in the 8th, Rahu rises in the Gemini

Lagna, with Ketu in Sag in the 7th; and Jupiter in Pisces is in the

10th.

For those in the know, I've made it no secret about my concerns,

fears and angers with being a dad and all

that came with it, from a variety of angles. But I have to say,

there's no better feeling in the world. I love

being a Dad.

And so, the Saga Continues - in the House that Mu Built...

Salaam,

Mu
