Guest guest
>From where did religion originate, and not the philosophy abt it...i do respect this stuff but i needed info on how did religions originated?from where?and by whom? Dear a##d: Whether we understand religions as either being created by God, or by Man, in his attempt to find God, in either case, each religion has it's only story regarding their development, and history. In the West, we have so many examples of Christianity, and all it's branches sproating out for a variety of reasons. In the East I get a similar sense, that different religions spring up, due to the different personalities, of their founders, and/or the different needs in the World, during those times. There's a story that talks about the cycles of "Loss & Revival of Knowledge", as being the real underlieing reality of the beginnings of different periods. Check out the translation of the Bhagavad-Gita, written by his Holiness Maharishi Yogi, who describes how the Religions or periods of Krishna, Buddha, and Shankara, all started, and exactly why. In those examples he talks about how the new religions came as a kind of revival of the ancient wisdom of Purity of Vedic Knowledge. In the West, I know many examples of Christian sects that got started because their founders believed their 'interpretation' of the Scriptures of the Church was closer to the 'TRUTH'... I also believe there's something else happening in the World today, and that is for the first time, millions of individuals are interested in having their own personal experiences of God, instead of only participating in their religion. I think this is one of the most substantial, spiritual or religious 'shifts' in the history of our World. Nice talking with you.
