In Response to MS Regarding Mark Kincaid

Hi Ms,

 

I find your email ignorant, especially in light of the fact that, by

your own admission, you have never seen any of my work. Further, let

the record show, that since 1998, I have been in many places online -

Das Goravani's list, Noel Tyl's online forum, the ACT list, Sanjay

Rath's list, my own list (the Pan Astrological Forum)...the list goes

on and on. To boot, I have written pieces on Jyotish that have

appeared in India, namely the quarterly journal that is put out by

the organization that BV Raman founded.

 

My work stands for itself, and those who actually know me knows this.

If you're so inclined, please avail yourself of some of my writings

Now, let's return to the scene of the crime...

 

It's not me that is intolerant, it's Mark; as I said earlier, he

comes accross as so much "love and light" yet gets nasty behind the

scenes when anybody questions him on the facts, not what he dreams up

outta wholecloth. My forum is an oasis of debate from ALL quarters,

whether they agree with me or not - and, since I frequently put

myself out there on the record, regarding my views and predictions,

I'm frequently under the gun by others who take me to task. And I

wouldn't have it any other way. If Mark were as tolerant as you make

him out to be, then why did he remove me from his own list in

private??? Please note that I have not, nor will not, remove him from

mine. That's because I actually talk the talk and walk the walk when

it comes to the free expression of ideas - no matter how half-baked

they may be.

 

You say I don't know what the term "guru" means - since you seem to

imply that you do, then you would be so good as to teach me and

everyone else in the grand arena?

 

Again, everything I said in my letters to Mark Kincaid can and will

stand on its own merits - oh, and if there's any doubt as to my

suspicions, let Mr. Deepak's testiomony stand as Exhibit A.

Yes, indeed my mail may be ignorant and I may be ignorant, but I am

not rigid and I respect others.

 

I need no proof of the lists you are in and the kind of work u have

done. I just said that here on this list I havn't seen any positive

contribution from you, other than criticising Mark (and that I wont

call positive).

 

Obviously u like to argue - see the language u have used - scene of

crime, exhibit A etc. I have no such passions. Let us put this issue

to rest by having a poll of whether people have benefitted from

Mark's views. (Mr. Tanvir - A request to U) So that we can stop

pointing fingers at each other and learn from whatever little we all

know and can share.

 

I have observed that the more we learn, the more humble we become -

as we realise how little we know and how much more there is to learn.

 

Yes, and u are right about my knowing about the Guru part. And that

is the reason I respect others' Gurus. When u will have the grace of

a Guru and his protective hand on your head, u will realise that such

things cannot be understood by logic and mere intellect, nor can they

be put in words.

 

I feel strongly that we need to respect each other and not just feed

our egos.
