All Love to both. POWER OF LOVE In some far-off land, a woman looked out and saw three strangers standing in front of her hut. She went out to greet the strangers who traveled a great distance. "You must be hungry," she said, "please come in and we will feed you." "Thank you," said the tallest stranger. "These are my companions Wealth and Success. My name is Love. We thank you for your invitation, but only one of us can enter your home. Please ask your husband which one of us he would like to invite in." The woman was puzzled, but didn't want to offend the strangers, so she agreed. "Husband," she said as she entered her hut, "the three strangers standing outside are called Wealth, Success, and Love. Only one can be invited for dinner. Who would you like to invite?" "Well," said the husband as he scratched his chin, "if we invite Wealth into our home, perhaps our fortune will improve." "Yes, but," said the wife hesitantly, "our daughter is starting school. Perhaps by inviting Success, our daughter will do well in her studies." "But Mommy," her daughter jumped in, "let's invite Love so our home will always be filled with love." "I'm lucky to share my life with two clever women;" said the husband, "especially my daughter who is wise beyond her years. Okay, Sweet One, you are right. Go out and invite Love." The wife was bewildered as her daughter led all three strangers into their home. "But you said only one of you could enter." she said to the strangers quizzically. "Yes," said Love. If you were to ask for Wealth or Success, only one could enter. But when you invite Love into your life, Success and Wealth will always follow." WATCH YOUR WORD Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have the power to create conditions in your life.What you speak about, you can bring about. If you keep saying you can't stand your job, you might lose your job. If you keep saying you can't stand your body, your body can become sick. If you keep saying you can't stand your car, your car could be stolen or just stop operating. If you keep saying you're always broke, guess what? You'll always be broke. If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman, you will always find someone in your life to hurt and betray you. If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain unemployed. If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or believe in you, our very thoughts will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs. Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power packed with faith, hope, love and action. Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want and deserve. Watch your "Thoughts," they become words; Watch your "Words," they become actions; Watch your "Actions," they become habits; Watch your "Habits," they become character; Watch your "Character", for it becomes your "Destiny" So.......To prevent any obstacles....... Guest guest Posted May 13, 2006 Report Share Posted May 13, 2006 To a large extent, and especially so in human relationships, we do create our realities....and I also feel that it's not good to close ourselves off to possibilities and become negative, as this can create impediments. And, yet, in many cases, we are not able to simply think things we want into being. I also wonder about this notion of "having what you deserve." What does that mean, anyway? To me, "deserve" implies a sense of worthiness. Karma is complex and it's not my experience that (material) good stuff necessarily comes to us on such a basis. To the contrary, Swami P tells lots of stories of serious devotees experiencing great hardship once accepting Amma as guru...and even quotes Amma as stating that she creates these circumstances, for our growth. So...dunno.
